2 months later

I'm a week overdue and I'm in so much pain. This little girl does not want to come out and I've been trying everything.
"Chris!!!!"
He comes running into my bedroom "what? Is the baby coming?"
"I wish" I huff a laugh "I can't put my socks on"
He laughs "oh" I just stare at him "it's not funny. I'm in pain here"
"I'm sorry. I'll do it give em here"
He bends down and helps me out my socks on. My feet are always so cold.
"Thank you. Help me up please"
He takes both of my hands and gently pulls me up. "Thank you...." I wobble slightly and chris catches my arms "woah" I hold my head, it's spinning.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, just light headed"
"Lean on me"
I place my head on his chest and slowly breathe through the dizziness.
"Thank you"
He kisses the top of my head "no problem"
He walks me out to the kitchen and sits me down on a stool. "Want a drink?"
"Please"
He makes me some lemonade and comes and sits next to me.
"She really doesn't want to come out"
"She will, when she's ready" chris says as he reaches across and rubs my stomach. He comes to kneel in front of the bump.
"Hey little girl, you need to come out now. Mummy is hurting and we all want to meet you okay?" He places his hand on my stomach and I feel her respond with a kick.
I giggle "she really loves your voice"
"Well. She knows who her favourite is"
"Oh whatever" I push him slightly and he falls over. I start laughing a lot and then I suddenly have a rush of water come from me. I stand shocked.
Chris goes to get up and puts his hand in the water "dude, you spilt your lemonade"
"No chris I didn't"
He looks up at me. "That was my waters"
"Oh god! Okay. I'll get the bag and let's go"
"Calm down! I need to ring the hospital. I'm not having contractions yet"
"Okay" he helps me to the living room and I sit on my birthing ball. He goes and cleans the kitchen while I call the doctor. When I'm finished he walks in "so?"
"I have to wait till the contractions are close together before I go in"
"Okay, what can I do?"
"Can you call your mum and ask her to get the twins from school and keep them with her?"
"Of course"
When he finishes on the phone. He comes back and I grab his hand. "We need to go now"
"But you said?"
I look down and so does he. There is blood.
"Okay, let's go" he helps me into the car and I call the hospital on the way. I tell them about the blood and they tell me to come straight in.
Chris is holding my hand the entire time.
"Is your mum okay with the twins?"
"She is fine. The twins are fine. Just breath okay" I nod. "What if something is wrong chris?"
He looks over at me "No. there is nothing wrong okay!"
I feel the tears coming but I try to hold back.
We get to the hospital and I'm wheeled into a private room. They set me up on monitors and drips. They tell me baby is fine just a little squished and a little agitated but she isn't in any danger.
Chris sits me with through everything. My contractions start to get more painful.
It's been 3 hours and I can really feel the pain now. I'm feeling the need to push but I'm only 8cm.
Chris is holding my hand and rubbing my back.
"Chris I can't do this"
"Hey, yes you can. Your are one of the strongest women I know. You can do this"
I lean back on him and he wraps his arms around me. The doctor comes in to check me again.
"Okay. Your 10cm let's do this"
They get me situated on the bed and I start pushing. I'm so tired and I don't know how much more I can do.
"Come on Nik, you got this okay"
Chris is being amazing, after an hour of pushing, my baby girl is finally born.
They clean her off and lay her on my chest. I look up at chris and he is crying.
"God Nikki she is beautiful"
I giggle. They take her away to get her fully cleaned up and wrapped in a blanket.
They hand her back to me and I look down, my tears already flowing.
Chris wraps his arm around my shoulders. He is staring down at her and he looks so happy.
"Nikki that was...."
"Completely gross"
"No! That was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and you did incredible"
I look up at him and smile. Before I even know what I'm doing I pull him down and kiss him. It's a slow and passionate kiss. We pull away, and he goes to say something but the doctor walks in.
"How are we feeling?"
"Sore and tired but okay"
"And little one has she fed okay?"
"Yeah she has, she's a pro" I laugh
"Well, all being well we can let you go in the morning. She is perfect weight and she is very healthy. Congratulations. Does she have a name?"
Me and chris have been throwing names round for months. I know he loves the name Rosie, but he didn't want to push it on me because she isn't his daughter. But after everything this man has done for me.
"Yeah she does her name is Rosie Ann Williams"
"Okay, I'll put that down on the birth certificate"
"Thank you doctor" he walks out and chris is staring at me.
"What?" I smile and laugh at him
"You called her Rosie?"
"Yeah"
"That's the name I picked?"
"I know"
"Thank you"
"Your welcome and anyway look at her, she is definitely a Rosie. Do you want to hold her?"
"Can I?"
"Of course"
I hand Rosie over and he holds her so delicately, he smiles down at her and she grabs his finger.
"Hey sweet girl, I'm so glad your here safely. Your mummy is a miracle worker. You are a lucky girl"
I smile and just watch him, he is a natural. I feel my self nodding off but try to stay awake "hey, get some sleep. I've got her"
"No it's okay"
"Nikki go to sleep" he walks over and kisses my forehead. I smile and drift off. I'm so happy right now.
