[Be as you wish to seem]

"Missed me Adams?" Velda could already feel her anger rising as she heard Regulus sit down next to her.
"I don't think I did", she placed her arm onto the table and leaned her chin on it, turning her head away from the Slytherin.
"Come on Adams, don't be shy, I don't bite," she knew without looking that he was smirking.
Velda raised a brow at him and muttered, "I heard that some snakes are poisonous, I'd rather not take the risk."
Regulus scoffed, "Well, well, well, you're quite the sunshine." Velda rolled her eyes, annoyed at the still talking boy.
"I've heard that Ravenclaw's tryouts are next week, might as well come and watch you put together a miserable team," he continued, clearly enjoying getting on her nerves.
"That won't change the fact that Ravenclaw is going to beat Slytherin," Velda wasn't sure why she was even answering him but it was most likely because she was bored as Professor Sinistra was still trying to get the seating arrangement right.
"Confident are we?"
"Is there any reason not to be?"
Velda swore that her heart nearly beat right out of her chest when Regulus Black leaned closer to whisper into her ear, "Oh darling, I am absolutely going to destroy you."
He went back to his old position, leaving her with a fast beating heart and uneven breath. I am absolutely going to destroy you, Somehow that didn't felt like he was talking about the team.
Velda tried to turn her focus back to Professor Sinistra. The woman was now done ordering her students around and stepped back to the front. "I've already explained the meaning of your project, you will be working with the student that sits next to you. I expect you to do great, remember that this year is essential for your N.E.W.T's. Now back to the different lunar phases."
Velda wanted to scream. She felt like this year was a curse.
Her eyes travelled to Meadow, who had turned around and gave her a pointed as if she wanted to tell her to not break Black's neck. While Meadow was turning back around Velda noticed that the Hufflepuff gave Black a similar look and wondered why she did that.
"Seems like we'll be spending quite some time together this year," Regulus voice interrupted her thoughts as he turned his body towards her.
"Unfortunately, now turn back around."
Black let out a scoff," Do you think I want to spent my time doing school work with filth like you?"
Velda gave him a glare, "No, of course not. I wouldn't expect someone of the noble house of Black being willingly near a mudblood except your brother. Sometimes I ask myself why he's such a decent person when his brother is a disgusting, prejudiced narcissist. "
This seemed to have struck a nerve. Regulus grabbed her chin forcefully, making her stare straight into his furious, grey eyes. "Don't you ever dare speak about my brother in front of me again, you filth," his eyebrows were furrowed in anger.
"What if I do?" Velda couldn't help the grin that crossed her face as Regulus fingers dug deeper into her skin.
She could feel his breath on her face as he leaned even closer to her. His voice changed from dripping with anger to a soft and low whisper. "I promise you won't be able to form any words for a while, darling."
"I don't trust words anymore Black, only actions. You should know that by now." Velda was surprised that her voice was not shaking, her hands definitely were.
He finally let go of her chin and put some distance between them again, thinking of the memory neither of them wanted to say out loud.
After that he turned back around, staring emotionlessly at Professor Sinistra.
Velda leaned back in her chair. For the second time within just minutes, Regulus Black was the reason her heart was racing and her mind completely lost focus.
The moment wouldn't stop repeating in her mind. The eyes, the proximity, darling.
What was wrong with her?
Relief flood through her body when the Professor announced the end of the lesson. She hastily grabbed all of her stuff and was the first to leave the room, she didn't even wait for Meadow.
Velda rushed up all of the steps to the Ravenclaw tower and slipped into the common room.
She had always loved the book-filled room that gave her a beautiful view over the mountains and at night the sky.
"You look upset."
Velda whirled around in surprise. She didn't notice Ash leaning lazily on the couch, his guitar in his hands.
She approached him and fell next to him onto the couch. "Guess what?"
"What?"
"I have to sit next to Black in Astronomy."
Ash let out a dramatic gasp, holding a hand over his mouth, "How terrible! And you're still living or am I now talking to ghosts?"
Velda chuckled, "No. Unfortunately I am still alive but do you know what's even worse?"
"He shaved his hair?"
Velda just gave him a confused look, "No, I have to do a project with him that keeps going for all of the year, so I'm not just spending my freetime with him because of our potion but also because of Astronomy!"
Ash scrunched up his nose, "That really does sound like a nightmare." He gave a soft pad on her shoulder, "I'll be there for you if you need a shoulder to cry on."
She smiled and leaned back into the couch, "Thank you, even though that doesn't change the fact that I'll have to spend hours, if not weeks in his presence."
Ash just shrugged and turned back to his guitar, "Do you want to listen to what I've been keeping working on for the past few days?"
Velda had always loved the music Ash created and this time, she was lulled to sleep by the sound of his guitar, the memory of what happened in Astronomy never stopping to repeat itself in her head.
