tomorrow evening after dinner, be on time

Black

Velda had thought it was impossible that Regulus could reply with an even worse letter than she did but seems like she had underestimated him once again.

She felt the strong urge to reply with another letter where only fine was written on but she felt like it was a little bit too unnecessary.

Velda had been showering after hours and hours of Quidditch practise, when the letter had arrived. She had almost forgotten about it as she had send it almost a day ago. Was the high and mighty Regulus Black ignoring her or was his schedule too full to answer a one- question letter?

Velda tried to stop thinking about his annoying presence and made her way down towards the Great Hall. She saw Asher already sitting at the table, some of her own roommates sitting around him. She wasn't really fond of them, they weren't the worst but they were way too chatty for her liking. The only good thing was, that they kept her informed about Hogwarts gossip. Honestly who would reject that offer?

Velda squeezed herself between two of them, Nadia and Anne were their names. Right now, they didn't seemed to fond of her presence, Velda wasn't dumb, she knew that they waned to talk to Ash but maybe that was exactly the reason she sat down.

Ash mouthed a help but Velda simply ignored it. She was here to see Asher getting irritated by all of the girls, not because she wanted to help him.

Instead, she munched on her dinner, grinning amused at her roommates constant bugging.

"Hey Ash, I heard you played music. Do you mind playing something for me?"

"Hey Ash, how is your hand, I heard you got into a fist fight and broke it?"

"Hey Ash, I don't really understand charms, would you mind helping me? I bet your good at magic."

"Hey Ash, could you show me your broomstick?"

Velda had to hold in her laugh as she listened to the questions that seemed to get even worse every passing second.

As they started to ask Asher if he liked cherries or meatballs she was extremely close to loosing it so she let her eyes roam through the hall, trying to find a distraction.

Maybe her roommates weren't as bad as she had thought.

Of course Veldas eyes had to meet some familiar grey ones. She was surprised to see that Regulus was already looking at her but she stared back anyways.

Sometimes, she asked herself if he knew how confusing he was. Velda never knew how he would react, sometimes he acted like she was a plague and sometimes she felt like he was even enjoying teasing her.
