The little fire incident seemed to have irritated Regulus Black and therefore brought a feeling of pure satisfaction and happiness to Velda.

Slughorn had simply continued his lesson after Dill's sudden entrance. His lectures about safety in potions class wouldn't seem to come to an end until they finally did.

Velda was just pushing Rgeulus arm away from her half of the desk, when Slughorn announced that he would now inform them about which potion they will be brewing for the lesson.

"Open page 23 in your textbooks; The whole class will be brewing a calming draught with their partners today and while you'll be doing that I'll go around and tell you what potion to brew off classes."

Velda felt the strong urge to simply slam her head onto the table in front of her at the thought of how much time she'll have to spend with Regulus Black, just because of some stupid school work.

It was not like Velda despised doing school work, in fact she was quite eager to learn as much as possible in order to soak up as much education as she could. To be honest, she was happy that she was a witch and therefore able to go to Hogwarts because the time she had spent in muggle schools had never been as interesting as something powerful like magic.

Power was something Velda had always loved. It went from choosing what they would do on her birthday in kindergarten to being Quidditch captain this year. Maybe it was because most of her life she felt like there were others overpowering her and telling her what she has to do and who she has to be. Sometimes, she hated herself for taking liking in such egoistical things.

It was as if she loved a part of what she hated. But whenever thoughts like this came up, Velda reminded herself that she would use power in a good way, to help people and to do good, not to discriminate or make use of others and therefore spreading evil.

"I'll get the ingredients and you set up the rest," Velda was just about to stand up and turn around when a hand grabbed her wrist.

"Don't tell me what to do mudblood." His voice was dangerously low, she knew that it was now easier than ever to stir up emotions, "I'll get the ingredients and you do the rest."

Velda raised a brow and shrugged off his hand, "I don't think so Black."

The boy pushed her to the side and brushed passed her to get what they needed. Velda simply grinned to herself and shrugged, as if she really wanted to get up and make the effort to fetch all off the ingredients.

Velda set up the cauldron and had to suppress a laugh as she watched the youngest Black brother struggle to find all of the ingredients without having read the page in the textbook yet.
