Four muggles found dead and sliced up near London
Is this the work of the so-called death eaters?
London 26th October 1977,wizard finds small family of four dead and sliced up in their house. The man saw the bodies through a window as he knocked on their door. The family, consisting of two young parents and a four year old set of twins, was brutally murdered and cut into pieces. After the murder, their bodies were placed into a form of two fours.
The ministry declares that a muggle could not have committed these murders, as there is evidence of the use of the cruciatus curse.
In the past few years attacks on muggles and muggleborns have increased drastically. The ministry claims that they have been searching for the culprit but it seems like there's not only one.
New information states that a group of so-called death eaters are responsible for most of the attacks. The group primarily consists of wizard and witches who are radical pure-blood supremacists who practise the dark arts and their leader Lord Voldemort.
Velda placed the copy of the Daily Prophet onto the table. The great hall was unusually quiet. Everyone had been reading the news and in the past few years, attacks on muggles or muggleborns had grown to be a somewhat a sad normality.
But the main reason why this article had been different from all of the others was because there was finally a culprit.
There was finally someone to blame.
Or to fear.
Now, there was a way to name all of the worry, the anger and the fear they had felt, every time a new article had appeared.
Velda looked up to see Meadow staring at the papers with an empty look. Sometimes, the Hufflepuff would sit with them at breakfast, whenever Ada skipped the meal to spend time with their groundkeeper Rubeus Hagrid, probably feeding some of his extraordinary pets.
The dark haired girl looked up and for a second, their eyes met.
A silent way of comforting each other.
Both of them were muggleborn. Veldas mother had died when she was still very young but her father assured her that she hadn't been a witch. And Meadows parents seemed to be a little bit scared of their own daughter whenever someone mentioned something about magic, nevertheless they tried their best to understand her abilities.
Neither of their parents knew something about what happened in the wizarding world.
There was no denying that Velda didn't felt at least a little bit scared. It seemed like absolutely no one was safe. The attacks had been all over the united kingdom, in the biggest cities, just as in the smallest village. At least Hogwarts seemed to be safe.
