Augustus Avery was a lost cause. Velda was pretty sure that she had decided that, as soon as she saw him for the first time. With his bleach blonde hair he could easily be mistaken for a Malfoy and sometimes, she thought he'd be better of with them and that said a lot.

Avery and Black were definitely the people she hated the most in the whole world but out of different reasons.

Black was an annoying blood-purist with a love for making fun of her. That's what most people thought why Velda hated him so much but to be honest, that was the least of her problems, as if half of the sixth year Slytherins weren't like this. Their past was what made her angrier than anything else, she despised him for everything he had done or better hadn't done.

But Augustus Avery was another kind of hatred. He always hung around Black and his friends, if you could call them that, seeing as Regulus Black was definitely not the guy for friendships. Avery was the typical scared twenty-eight member; rude, disrespectful, prideful, egoistical and cunning.

Again, this wasn't the main reason she hated him. Augustus Avery was the most disgusting and pedophile person she had ever met. Honestly, every time she saw him a shiver run down her spine, he was pushy and touchy and most of the Hogwarts population, especially the female, knew of this.

He gets suspended every few months for touching girls in ways he shouldn't without their consent and it was fair to say that Velda Adams wasn't spared from his harassment.

She had always wondered why Dumbledore hadn't thrown him out of the school yet. Sadly, he was too young for Azkaban. The headmaster had his reasons and Velda had asked herself if the fact that no one knew what Avery would do outside Hogwarts was one of them.

"Well, well, well, look at this piece of beauty." A voice appeared next to her.

Velda slowly turned around, with a grim look on her face. "Piss off Avery, I swear if you step closer I'm going to rip your head off."

Defence against dark arts was something Velda usually enjoyed but when their Professor told them to stand up, push the tables aside and find a partner to practise the new spell with, Avery had to use the chance to bother her.

Meadow stood a few meters away as her opponent, the girl had a few pillows tied to her body and stood next to Regulus Black, who was Averys partner.

"Well, I could imagine some nice things you could do with your head," he smirked.

Velda continued to glare at him.

"Like giving me head-"

"Stupefy!"

She was surprised to see Augustus body slamming into the wall on the other side of the room.
