𝙘𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙭𝙞𝙤𝙣

"So Natsu's speeding out there to take on Zeref all by himself?!" you shouted, slamming your bandaged hands down, "without me?!"

"That jerk..." Laxus grumbled.

"Change of plans! We're goin' after him!" Gray hissed.

"Wait! We will adhere to the First Master's plan!" Erza commanded, "we will leave Zeref to Natsu."

"He'll get himself killed! At least lemme go with him! I've got nothin' much to lose!" you danced on the spot.
"He's up against Zeref, you know! And Zeref has the book of E.N.D!" Gray added.

"Natsu said something about having a plan to defeat Zeref," Erza stated, "I have every confidence that he will."

Gray stepped forwards, leaning in close. Erza did not break away.
"You always put way too much trust in Natsu, Erza," he growled.
"Does that mean you do not trust him?" she challenged.

"Oi, oi! Break it up!" you pushed them away from each other before things got out of hand.

"First Master... what will we do?" Mirajane worried.
"Let's bet on Natsu's instincts," Mavis said decidedly, "it may seem like a reckless charge, but it's possible he actually has a logical strategy. We are trapped on all four sides... so an attack on their supreme commander may end things before he has a chance to box us in completely. It could be an excellent plan. Gray... let's trust Natsu."

"It ain't like I don't trust him!" the Ice-Make mage scratched the back of his head, "I just don't want him goin' off alone."

"He isn't alone," Carla stepped in, "he has Happy with him, right?"

"Happy... Kuschel!" you slammed your hands again, "I left her with Sabertooth!"

"I'm sure Rogue is taking good care of her!" Lucy held you by the shoulders.
"Oh, erm... about that," you leant in to whisper, "we're on a break."

"You and Rogue are on a break?!" Lucy gasped, loud enough for everyone to hear. You shifted your weight.
"Erm, yeah," you frowned, "like, just before this. Literally about an hour ago."

"Oh, my god, [Y/N]..." Lucy hugged you.
"Oh no! Another possible love rival that Juvia will have to keep watch over..." Juvia gasped.

"It's okay. I bet that once this is all over, you'll be able to sort things out with him," Lucy reassured, "but, if I may ask... why are you on a break?"

"It 'cause of what Future Rogue said at the Grand Magic Games, about me dying," you explained, "so whenever I went out to come help Fairy Tail with stuff, he was really scared I'd die. And that I should just join Fairy Tail instead, since apparently I never spend any time at Sabertooth."

"Pretty reasonable, actually," Cana shrugged, "maybe he's got a point. I mean, I'm all for girls supportin' girls, but I don't remember the last time you weren't here."

"That's because you're always drunk..." Lucy said, "but, Cana does make a point. Maybe you're the one who needs to get better?"

"Oh," is all you could say. Maybe they were right.

There was suddenly a scuffling from where Brandish, one of the Twelve, was being held prisoner.

"I'll go see what that is," Lucy said, "stay safe."

With that, Lucy and Cana left to check on Brandish.

After a worryingly long time had past, you made to check on them, when Happy came tumbling in, sobbing. He had Natsu in his arms.

"Happy!" you exclaimed.

"Natsu isn't moving! I don't know what's wrong!" Happy blubbered, putting Natsu down, "he needs help real bad!"
