The magic around her balled fists shrunk away and she stepped forwards, towards the dog, warily.

"Hey, be careful," Rogue said, watching with narrowed red eyes and prepared to jump into action in case [Y/N], per se, had her arm bitten off.

The wolf growled and the woman stopped, reaching her hand out and slowly moving it towards to the snout of the creature. Its golden eyes watched her calculatedly, almost in the same manner that Rogue did, in case something random decided to happen.

[Y/N] pressed the palm of her hand against the wolf's nose and its pupils dilated and mouth dropped open - instead of maintaining the rancorous, foaming snarl, it panted, almost as if it was smiling.

"Aw, Rogue, look. He's smiling at me," [Y/N] said.
"How do you know it's a boy?" Rogue asked.
"How d'you think?" she replied, to which he nodded slowly.

The wolf barked loudly and then licked her. She laughed and beckoned Rogue over, who approached warily. The canine stopped panting and shoved his nose forwards to get a good sniff of the Shadow Dragon Slayer.

"He's not too bad," he observed.
"Let's name him Jackson," [Y/N] agreed.
"Why Jackson?" Rogue quoted.
"Because I want to," she said.

"White Dragon Roar!"

Sting could only watch in disbelief as yet another one of his attacks simply glanced off of the man standing in front of them as if he had some sort of invisible shield or armour.
"You can do it Sting!" Lector cheered from the sidelines.

"Open! Gate of the Paired Fish!" Yukino exclaimed, producing out one of her golden keys, "Pisces!"

In a golden flash, the two snake-like fish appeared in the air, writhing for little more than a second before their bodies became completely stationary.

"You poor things," the man in question, Kai Slothe, cackled, "my magic's improved quite a lot since last year. Not only can I stop bodies from moving, I can stop magic too! And then I can redirect it."
"What?!" Sting gaped, struggling to see how a battle against a man who can't be hit was fair in the slightest.

He thought about it for a second too long, however, as Slothe shot forwards, slamming his hand into his chest. He tried to retaliate, but as a result of Slothe's magic, couldn't move. The brunet man turned on Yukino next.

"Yukino!" Sting yelled, brow furrowing, "get out of here!"
"Don't worry Sting, I've got this one!" she shouted.

"What will a little girl do against a great wizard like me?" Slothe smirked, too cocky for his own good apparently as Yukino raised Pisces' key again.

"Don't underestimate a wizard of Sabertooth!" she exclaimed, "Star Dress! Pisces Form!"

With those words, her body was enveloped in a brief golden glow, and when it dissipated her appearance had changed. She instead now wore a dark blue and light blue outfit akin to a bikini paired with armour. A blue trident fell into her hands and she looked on at Slothe, determined.

The brown-haired man shot forwards but she dodged to the side, hitting him in the back with the butt-end of the trident. He choked and stumbled, before spinning around with a leg swinging for her again. Yukino leapt up and out of harm's way before throwing the trident down, directly at Slothe. His reflexes were just a second too slow as his body slammed into the ground, the trident pinning him down by his clothes. Had he been even an inch to the right, he would have been impaled in the throat.
