// Time Skip //

You spent the whole night partying, not just for your return, but for Lucy's award for her book.

Sting, Orga and Rufus got completely smashed whilst you stayed close to Rogue's side the entire time.

The night ended with Yukino and Minerva briskly leaving once Rogue had asked them to watch Novalee and the three Exceeds for the night. Along with that, they'd walked Orga and Rufus home, who were both smashed out of their minds.

Sting's crop top was discarded somewhere as everyone began to head home, and you and Rogue spent about twenty minutes searching for it only for him to produce it from his pants, where he had hidden it.

You eventually walked him back to his and Rogue's home, where Rogue made sure to tuck him in and call him on his Miniature Communications Lacrima. Sting had agreed and then promptly conked out like a light.

"You don't mind if we head back to yours?" Rogue asked, not bothering to lower his voice.
"Yeah, it's alright," you swayed on the spot, still giddy about finally being back. He nodded and then pulled you out of Sting's room - which was notably a tip - and then out of the house too.

You felt the cold air of the night hit your skin and sighed quietly, inhaling deeply. You liked this hour of the night around the town because the scent reminded you of Rogue - a pine forest on a moonless winter night. Although it wasn't exactly a pine forest, nor a moonless winter, but it reminded you of him nonetheless.

"Where did Novalee get her dress?" you asked as you walked down the cobbled street, hands joined together.

"When we got the invite from Lucy, it said it was a formal event and we realised Novalee didn't have anything to wear, since none of us really had small enough a dress to fit her," he explained, "we were about to go and buy her one when Lector piped up and suggested that she wear you clothes from, well... nine years ago, now. You know, from before the Natsu and the rest of his team disappeared on Tenrou Island. We asked him how he knew you still had clothes from back then, and he told us that Kuschel had shown him at some point. So we went to your house and, sure enough, there were some dresses. Sting thought they were very cute and didn't expect you to wear something like that, but Novalee really wanted to wear them. We figured you wouldn't mind if she did."

"Urgh, Lector," you hissed as your stuck your keys in your door, "that stupid red... ugh."
"What's wrong with Lector?" Rogue asked.
"Kuschel... I think she has a thing for him," you scoffed.
"Oh, that was always my biggest fear for Frosch," Rogue shook his head as you opened the door and entered.

The house was, now you weren't rushing to get a dress on, considerably clean, save for your suitcase in the middle of the living room floor.

"It's pretty clean here. No dust at all," [Y/N] wiped her finger along the couch for proof.
"Ah... yeah. Whilst you were gone, I took the liberty of keeping it clean. I hope you don't mind," he said shortly.

"I don't mind," she shook her head, "thanks, for that."
"It's no problem. I figured you'd appreciate it," Rogue chuckled, turning so he faced [Y/N] before leaning in to gently kiss her lips.

She hummed, chuckling as he slipped his hands to her waist.

"I missed you so much..." he said, taking slow steps forwards and her backwards, until her knees made contact with the sofa and she fell back. She let out a squeak of sorts and he fell with her. Rather, onto her.
