Epilogue: The Lightning That Struck Twice

"Come on, keep up Minerva!"

"You slow down first, Marsh!"

It's been two years since we stopped Nexus. And a lot has happened when I think about it.

I mean for starters, Xenith and Celosia got married last year and now this year, they're gonna have a kid! Martix has been really trying now to start something with someone.

Unfortunately, it seems his luck hasn't been super great for him and his roses. A real shame, I mean he's got some killer lines for when he tries.

Meanwhile, Oro's been doing really well. His confidence has really been building up for himself, and his work.

Just a month and a half ago, with money he's made himself and the Queen being more than happy to pitch in, he's gotten to open his own shop for metal artworks, and doubles for lessons to do that work too for others with metal powers.

Despite him just barely becoming an adult.. and not to mention running a buisness himself.. the outlook for things actually seem pretty well for it. Word has actually been getting far around for it.

For Kron.. actually.. I think he might've started seeing someone. But.. I think he's trying to keep quiet about it. I think I might pester him sooner or later about it. But for now he's safe.

And to a lot of our surprise, we now have a Queen and a King now! We had no clue Rue was planning on proposing, and now they're married too!

Allison has been having a little more trouble taking what happened to Rykor.. but all of us love being around her, so we're more than happy to cheer her up.

Work for Minerva has been easier on her as of late. Though I do remember her mentioning someone not from Ultia moving here to the capital and joining the guard. Name was something Bulth? Dunno. But apparently he's pretty damn good.

Arcane.. has been alright, but ever since he took that former celestial's essence and put it into me, he's had a bit of trouble. Mostly that he can't walk right without a cane, but he says not to worry. That he still has a weapon on him because of it.

My mother has come back to see me from time to time and be introduced to everyone. Arcane is aware that she's alive and she had apologized; and while he did accept it, Arcane holds no love for her.

The good thing about that is, they understand their decisions and have agreed to staying away from each other.

Unfortunately.. still no word from or about Luxia. I know it'll probably take longer.. but, can't help but miss a friend.

As for me.. today's the day I've been waiting for. Might be one of the biggest days of my life.

"Seriously, pick it up! We're almost there!"

"Okay, okay, fine!"

When I finally get to the bridge over the river. It takes a few seconds for Minerva to finally catch up with me.

Once she's finally here she takes a minute to catch her breath, leaning on the bridge's railing.
