The moment we spilt, my eyes immediately lock on Lillian and I assume Kron does just the same. It seems to take her a few seconds, realizing exactly what it is the two of us are doing, before she starts coming at us as well.
No words are given as Lillian freezes, putting up a dagger to block while I slash vertically with all my strength and knock the blade out of her hand.
I'm not too shocked that I ended up doing so. After all, even just after hearing stories and not being here when it all happened, I hold a special kind of hate for her.
Even though it was a heavy strike, Lillian remains unphased as she quickly replaces her dagger with a short sword she draws.
She goes to retaliate at me, but is forced to use her opportunity to dodge as a shot of fire narrowly misses her. Between Kron and I, she's forced to stay on her toes.
She starts mumbling something, and suddenly, now we're on our toes. Her hand glows, indicating use of magic so we both duck in opposite directions. It's good that we dodged when we did, because she fired something big and powerful that we just narrowly avoided. Dunno what, but I'd rather not find out.
I assume Kron does as well, that I quickly move back on my feet after being on the ground. Timing was once again good for the both of us, because a pillar jabbed out of the ground from where we ducked to. And as we keep moving, more start forming like they're chasing us.
I start running towards Lillian, with the singular aim to knock her down so I can make her stop. As I run I pull water from two skins, using it to destroy any pillars that form infront. Because, she's starting to pick up on how fast I move and more are appearing ahead of me.
While they're still just barely appearing infront of me, I have an idea before she gets the chance to overpower me. And hopefully Kron will pick up on it.
Instead of going around to keep distance, I run straight at Lillian. While the water stays at my free hand and my scimitar like I'm going to charge at her, so now she starts preparing for that. I see it in her eyes.
As I'm certain she's about to raise another pillar, I lunge forward and place my foot far forward. As I land my foot down, I feel it starting to rise. I seem to have guessed right.
As the pillar shoots up, at the same time I push off it with my foot, giving me that boost to launch me a bit. As I'm in the air, I make the water spread out and once I land by Lillian, the water now surrounds her.
While keeping a wide ring of water around her, I make it move and create false images of myself. She slashes at a part of the water. Miss. And I strike her for it. Miss. Strike. And this is repeated for a couple more times before Lillian gets really frustrated.
And she ends up doing something smart. She's about to strike in a wrong spot, but she stops last second and strikes in the spot behind her. However, her sword is grabbed.
But it's not me grabbing it. I stand there and I grin, as I then go to drop the ring of water.
-
As the water drops, I grip Lillian's sword tightly as I just grin at her.
"Surprise."
"Let go!"
I chuckle, shaking my head as I start using my fire while gripping the sword. She keeps trying to pull it away from me, but my metallic hands don't budge in the slightest.
