We wandered around through the giant’s treasure room. Hook started to stare at the treasure and smile. “DON’T. Get any ideas”
He sighed. “Where is this bloody potion?”
“Umm…”
He looked at me in shock. And then anger.
“YOU TOLD ME YOU KNEW WHERE IT WAS HIDDEN!”
“I KNEW IT WAS AT THE TOP OF THIS BEANSTALK. I KNOW IT IS IN THIS ROOM. YOU WOULDN’T HAVE EVEN GOTTEN THIS FAR IF IT WEREN’T FOR ME!”
Then we heard footsteps. Loud footsteps. Oh no. Somebody’s awake.
“Quick, hide somewhere! But NOT over there!” I yell as I point to the place he was almost crushed under the first time.
He nods as we both run in different directions. He jumps inside a chest but I was running out of options. Oh no, too late.
“Argggg!” the giant shouts as he grabs me. I swear to god, if ONE more thing picks me up…
“What are you doing here? Are you a thief?!”
“No! No I’m not a thief! Please I was just looking for something”
“EXACTLY! Looking for something. I was right, you are a thief” He yells as he chucks me into the wall.
I yell out in pain. If it weren’t for my magic I’d probably have a broken back. Or worse, be dead.
“HEY!” I hear someone shout. I look up to see Hook standing in front of the giant. Is he crazy?! He’s going to get himself killed!
“Yeah you! Don’t touch one more hair on her body or you’ll pay the price!” He shouts at the giant
Then I see he’s holding a sword. Jack’s sword. The one dipped in poison.
The giant must have obviously seen it too. “Wo wo wo wo!! Wait! Please! Don’t hurt me!” the giant yells as he shields himself.
“HOOK! Wait! Don’t hurt him!”
“Emma. That giant smashed you against the wall!”
“Because he thought we were thieves! And all HE’S used to is thieves being killers”
He still didn’t look convinced. “Please, Hook. Just drop the sword and I promise he won’t hurt us”
He waited a moment but he eventually dropped it.
“You… you didn’t kill me.” Anton mumbles
“We aren’t all killers” I say
He takes in this information. “What was it you were looking for in here?”
“An invisibility potion”
He looks around. “You mean this?” He asks handing us a bottle of black liquid.
“Yep that’s it” I reply.
“Odd. I saw it just pop up there the other day. Don’t know where it came from”
“Thank you!” I say before Hook can ask any questions. And with that we climbed back down the beanstalk. Anton letting us go as we please.
