scrapped jadam oneshots :')

i have a word doc with 30,000 words worth of mostly scrapped oneshots and this is the first one lol

"Listen I just... Jameson, I noticed you're not feeling that great." James moves his eyes from the ceiling he'd been staring at for hours to Adam's eyes.

"Me? Not feeling great?" He forces a smile. "Nah. I'm fine."

Adam gives James a soft, knowing look. He walks over to the bed James has been laying on, sitting down on the side.

"You can talk to me. You know that right?" 

James nods. "Of course, I know that."

After a few moments, Adam places his hand over James', realising he isn't going to talk to him. "Well, I love you." James just nods with a small smile.

James stares out the window, thinking to himself. He isn't sure if he wants to tell Adam. A part of him worries that Adam will be mad at him. Which he knows is ridiculous. He looks back at Adam, who's now tracing his thumb over the back of James' hand.

"Um... I've just..." James' eyes dart around the room as he searches for the feelings he's attempting to express. "I've just been feeling down."

Adam gives James' hand a light squeeze. "What's making you upset?" 

James shrugs, "Nothing really. I just feel numb."

Adam frowns and shuffles towards James to give him a hug. 

"I'm so sorry, Jamesy," he speaks into James' shoulder. 

"Why are you sorry?" James asks as he hugs Adam back. 

"Just sorry that you're feeling this way."

Adam sits back and grasps James' hands in his own. "I'm here for you. I always will be. Is there anything I can do to help you feel better?"

James shrugs, "It'd be nice if we could cuddle for a bit? If that's okay?" "I'd be happy to," Adam responds, holding James close as they get comfortable.

The pair sit against the headboard of their bed, a blanket wrapped around them as Adam runs his fingers through James' hair.

"Thanks, Adam." James sighs, wistfully. "No problem, Jameson. I love you."

James smiles the most he has in the past week and replies, "I love you too."
