same as the last i just kinda dont like this

"Okay, well I'll see you later Adam!" I wave as I back away from Adam and to my car. "Bye, Jameson!" I chuckle to myself hearing him call me 'Jameson.' It's a cute nickname he's used for me since the second time we hung out and it just stuck.

I crank up the heater in my car and start driving home, listening to the radio overplay the same 5 songs they've been using all week. I hum along to 'Say So' by Doja Cat. The song is quite catchy. Plus, it reminds me of when Adam and I sung it together as I drove him to his family birthday party last year. I smile as the memory plays through in my mind.

Good times, I think to myself.

Once I've arrived home, 'Driver's License,' 'Heatwaves,' and 'Therefore I am' have played, not much to my surprise.

I turn off the engine and unbuckle my seat belt. The late winter air hits my face the second I open the door. I shiver and shove my hands into my front hoodie pocket.

As my hand hits the bottom of the pocket, I feel something hit my hand. I feel around and grab it. I pull out a small device with an even smaller screen. I squint at it in confusion.

An iPod? I wonder to myself.

After staring at the red steel for a few more seconds, realisation hits me. I turn the iPod over to see Adam's name engraved in the back.

I completely forgot I'm wearing Adam's hoodie!

He was nice enough to let me use his hoodie when I got cold at the café, but I guess neither of us noticed that I walked away wearing it.

I walk inside and after turning the heater on, I take off Adam's hoodie. As I'm pulling it over my head, I can't help but notice it smells like his cologne.

I take a moment to let the smell wash over me. Sure, it could be seen as creepy. But we're best buds. It just smells nice. Like home. That's okay, of course.

I fold the hoodie neatly and set it down on my couch before looking back to the iPod in my palm. I look at the control panel below the small screen and turn it on.

As it turns on, Apple's logo appears on the black screen.

Staring at the screen, I start to think.

I wonder why Adam has an iPod. Why not just use Spotify on his phone?

And how old is this thing?

The screen suddenly lights up with a home screen, full of his playlists. I can only see three. My eyes scan the playlist titles.

"Favourite songs." Pretty basic.

"2000's classics." The 2000's did have heaps of good music. Maybe he likes listening to them with the iPod for nostalgia's sake.

I raise an eyebrow at the last playlists name. It's simply titled 'Jameson,' with an emoticon heart.

I put the iPod down on the couch and head to my room, searching for some earbuds to use. The iPod doesn't seem to have any external speakers, so I'll have to go old school.

Once I've found an old pair of earphones and the endless knots have been untangled, I head back to the couch and sit down, picking the iPod up in my hand.

I use the little dial on the bottom half to direct the cursor to the playlist titled with my name and click 'O.K.'

I click shuffle on the playlist and start scrolling through. The first song playing is 'Thinking Out Loud,' by Ed Sheeran. A small chuckle escapes my mouth. Knowing just how big of an Ed Sheeran fan Adam is, this makes sense.
