Aurora 

   I hung my head low as I walked through the hall not wanting to know if people were staring. Alec threw his arm over my shoulder and walked me to my locker. "How you feeling?" I sighed as I looked up at him. "I just don't want people assuming or talking about what happened" He smiled softly at me and leaned into my ear, "I promise baby, no body is going to figure out what happened". He pulled back and stroked my cheek as Adam walked up to us. "Rory can I talk to you?" Alec kissed my forehead and went to his locker.

   I smiled at Adam and he smiled back softly. His eyes went to my neck and disgust made it's way on his face. "Im so sorry I didn't get to you faster" I shook my head at him while I put my books in my locker. "No, don't do that to yourself. You got there just in time" I turned to him and stared him in the eyes. "You saved me Adam and I'll forever be grateful." He frowned and pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear. "No one is going to find out what happened to him okay? Don't get anxious about it, I know you" He pulled away smiling and rubbed my shoulder. 

   Alec came back over and Adam dapped him up and made his way to the locker room. "Wanna skip class and chill in the library?" Alec smiled and shook his head, "No skipping because you're anxious" I rolled my eyes and he walked me to first period. We took our seats in the back as per usual and texted majority of the time.

Me: What's my contact name on your phone?

Alec <3: Um...why?

Me: .....Alec what is my contact name?

Alec <3: Northern Lights

Me: I'm taking the heart away from your name...

Alec <3: NO DON'T

Me: Fine....can I ask why tho...?

Alec <3: Aurora Borealis :)

Me: That's actually kind of cute...

Alec <3: I know right? I'm so smart

Me: Rolling my eyes mega hard rn

Alec <3: Rude

   I giggled and he shook his head smiling at me. To my surprise not many people were speculating what happened to Ryder. They were all just talking about how he passed and what not. Mike stopped me and Alec in the hall to basically say the same thing as Adam. That he was sorry he let that happened and he made the same face as Adam when he saw my neck. Alec made it a priority to not look at the nasty bruise forming and a few people in the hall stopped me to ask what happened.

   I honestly didn't want to lie to everyone, but I couldn't tell them the Ruder did it, so I just said that my cousin was visiting and we were wrestling, it was an accident. People in the school were stupid for believing it. Alec walked me to my locker after last period then headed to his like always. He came behind me and crossed his arms over my shoulders pulling me back into him. "lets go to the diner" I smiled and nodded as I locked my locker. He took my hand and we made our way to Alecs car. "I know what you did Alec. I know what you Adam and Mike did Friday".

   We both turned around and faced Alana with furrowed brows. "What are you talking about" She scuffed. "You don't think it's obvious? Rory has the bruise on her neck after leaving my bathroom in tears with Adam, you storm into my house screaming 'Where is he?' and then Ryder turns up dead? You don't think I'm that stupid do you?" I laughed and she looked at me worried. "Alec may have had beef with the kid, but he'd never kill someone, he isn't like that. As for Adam and Mike I highly doubt they could stage someone drowning, yore giving them too much credit...It was a freak accident thats all." She frowned and Alec and I turned back around and got in his car.
