Aurora 

   It's near the end of sophomore year and my 22nd birthday is approaching. The past year was filled with a lot of emotion, both good and bad and I made it a personal agenda to only focus on the good. I got engaged of all things and to the one person I truly picture sharing the rest of my life with. I have to say I honestly wasn't expecting him to get down on one knee so soon, we've talked about waiting till we graduate and when I asked him about it he told me he couldn't wait any longer. It made my heart explode. 

   "Alright class, that's it for today. Don't forget to submit your work online and I'll see you next week" Ashley and I exited the class room and walked out to the cafeteria like always. The boys were already there when we arrived and Axel patted his thighs with a cheesy smile. I shook my head smiling and sat on them as Ashley took a seat next to Evan. "What are you boys up to?" Aaron shrugged while writing down in notebook and I raised my brow, "Is he okay?" He scuffed and looked at me. "I'm trying to finish my homework before my next class" I shook my head at him and sighed dramatically.

   "Oh my God" I looked at Ashley and tilted my head as she stared off into the distance and pointed. "It's Rachel and her boyfriend" I looked at the direction she was pointing in and a man was yelling in her face while she flinched. I quickly hopped off of Axel and ran to her. "YOU STUPID FUCKING BITCH" I pulled Rachel and shoved her behind me. "We got a problem over here? Rach you okay?" She looked at her boyfriend with wide eyes and then nodded. "Whats the issue?" Axel walked up and easily towered over her boyfriend. "Nothing man, there's no issue" He spit out. 

   "Rachels being abused" Axels eyes darkened and his jaw ticked, "You like hurting women?" Her boyfriend scuffed, but fear flashed in his eyes as Rachel clung to me. Axel swung at his face and Rachel gasped. Aaron, Ethan, and Evan all ran over and aided Axel in jumping the kid. Bystanders all rushed over and when phones started to be pulled out I pushed myself between the boys and made them stop. "I highly doubt you guys want this video going out and ruining your futures, he got the hint" Axels chest was heaving and I cupped his face "Hey" He looked at me and calmed down then gave me a nod. "Come on, you're going to the apartment with us".

   I took Rachels hand and waved Ashley over who stood back watching with furrowed brows. We got into Axels car and the boy followed us to the apartment. "It's okay babes, we got you" She let her walls down and started sobbing in the back seat as Ashley held her to her chest. "It's going to be okay" She whispered in her ear. I grabbed Axels hand and squeezed it, he was still tense and his hand gripped the steering wheel tight. I kissed his knuckles that were sure to bruise and he pulled into his parking spot. With the boys right behind us, we all made our way into the apartment. Ashley took Rachel to the couch and I filled her up a glass of water and brung it to her. 

   "Rach you gotta tell us when happened" She furrowed her brows at me with tears cascading down her cheeks. "I- I don't know, he was so good to me then he just-" Ashley rubbed her back and Rachel lifted her shirt revealing a large bruise against her ribs. "I let out and audible gasp and stood her up, "We have to get you to the hospital" She shook her head fast, but I pulled her leaving no room for debate. The boys all looked worried and Axel grabbed his keys. "No, stay here. This is too intimate for all of you" I grabbed my keys and he nodded. "We'll be back soon" I looked him in the eyes and a strings of emotions ran though me. He mouthed 'I love you too' And I nodded walking Rachel down to my car. 

   "I'm going to be by your side the whole time okay? You don't have to be scared" I took her hand and rushed as fast as I could without breaking any laws to the hospital. I rushed her inside and a nurse smiled and asked if she could help us. "Yes her ex boyfriend abused her, she has a nasty bruise on her ribs it might be broken" The nurse frowns and nods rushing us to a bed. She laid Rachel down then lifted her shirt inspecting the dark red and purple bruise. "PAGE DR.LINKEN ASAP, You're okay, you have internal bleeding, but you're going to be okay" Panic flashed in her eyes and all I could do is squeeze her hand.
