Aurora
"And you're six months since yesterday correct?" I nodded at my doctor with a smile and she smiled back grabbing the ultra sound machine, rolling it over. "I assume you know the deal by now?" I laughed nodding lifting my shirt for her to put the gel on. "Where's the dad if you don't mind me asking" I shook my head, "Not at all, he's on a conference call in the car" The doctor nodded moving the camera around my belly. "She's looking nice and healthy" She said turning the screen to me so I could see my baby. A large grin spread across my face and the door to my room opened. "How's everything looking princess?" I looked over at Axel keeping my smile and he walked over leaning over me looking at the screen. "Good, she's healthy" He smiled at me nodding, "I can see that, she's getting big".
He kissed the top of my head and took my hand as my doctor wiped my stomach clean from the gel. "And how are you feeling with the vitamins I prescribed? Any nausea?" I shook my head, "Nope I feel great" She smiled nodding as she pumped hand sanitizer in her hands. "Good, I don't need to see you till next month unless you feel something's wrong, don't be afraid to come in even if you think it's minor" I nodded as Axel helped me off the table. "Is there anything you need before I head to my next patient?" I shook my head smiling and she nodded heading out of the room. "Ready to get out of here?" I nodded interlocking my fingers with his and he led me to his car. When the company first took off with the Hearty foundation Axel bought both me and him new cars even though I told him my car was perfectly fine.
He insisted of both of us having matching Lamborghinis, mine shiny his matt, as I get in the passenger seat the same way I have been for the past year a thought comes into my mind. "Whats that face for?" He asked starting the car, then placing his hand on my thigh, "We need a safer car for the baby" I looked at him with furrowed brows and he softly smiled at me with a soft nod. "Well go a dealership over the weekend princess" I smiled placing my hand over his and he headed off to our home. "Now it might be my spidey senses, but I have a feeling you're in the mood for some steak" My brows raised at him in a shock and he chucked pulling into our driveway. "How?" He smirked stepping out and jogging to my side, opening the door and helping me out. "I know you like the back of my hand baby" He smiled cheesley as I shook my head smiling and we walked to the door and into our home.
Axel immediately led me to the kitchen and he went to the fridge pulling out steaks setting them on the counter. "Mashed potatoes or roasted?" I hummed rubbing my chin, "Roasted" He nodded preheating the oven, "You want take a bath while I cook or you wanna watch?" He asked turning to me then bouncing his brows. I rolled my eyes sitting down on the stool at the kitchen island and he smirked getting everything ready to cook. He heat up the skillet with oil as he cut the mini potatoes and seasoned them, he plopped the tray of potatoes in the oven before placing the seasoned steak on the hot skillet and I watched him as he continued to cook. "Want me to make a salad?" He scuffed flipping the steak, "If you even lift a finger your ass cheek will be so sore you won't be able to sit princess" I swallowed harshly and he gave me a side eye followed by a smirk.
"Y-you can't just threaten me like that" He turned to me and shrugged, "Why not, I don't want my pregnant wife on her feet" I rolled my eyes and huffed as he put the steak he was cooking on a plate chuckling. He handed me the plate before putting the second steak on the stove and taking the potatoes out of the oven. He scooped potatoes into my plate and filled up a glass of ice water for me before flipping his steak, "Dig in baby" He shot a wink at me before going back to cooking his steak. I started to eat and I smiled at Axel as he came next to me with his plate. "Good?" I nodded sipping my water, "Always is when you make it" He smirked, "Damn straight" We continued to eat making conversation about the business and my internship. I only have a month left of classes and depending on my evaluation I may or may not get hired full time as a counselor. Not exactly where I want to be career wise, but I was guaranteed that I can move up through promotion to be labeled as a psychologist. I was also promised that I can take virtual counseling calls when I give birth so I can stay home with my baby.
