Magnus POV
I opened my eyes, still throbbing from the light, to see a rainbow has arched in front of me. Even though I've seen it once before, I was still impressed. I must've been gazing for a while, because I felt a flick at the back of my head.
"Owww!" I whined.
"That's what you get for wasting time. Hurry up, the rest are already up." Alex dragged me behind.
The cold feeling in my chest disappeared. In fact, I was sweating a waterfall.
"I can walk." I grunted.
"'K, 'k. Geez." Alex let go, looking a bit upset.
"Hey, Alex," I grabbed her wrist.
"Yeah?" she looked up.
"I-I just want to say that if a-anything happens..." my voice faltered.
"What?"
"I-I just wanted to say... I love you." I smiled and pulled her in before she could react. Her lips met mine and her eyes widened, but then relaxed. Everything slowed down. It was just me, and Alex. I gazed into her eyes. Her beautiful eyes, so full of mischief and ideas. The world stopped for us. Her minty smell drifted off her. It was really enjoyable until-
Snap
Great. Someone took a picture.
"Did we miss something?" Percy laughed. Annabeth giggled.
"Nope. Nope nopety nope. Nothing at all." Alex and I quickly pulled away.
"Really?" Blitzen wriggled his eyebrows. I smacked my forehead.
"Anyways, Ragnarok is going to start. Like, tomorrow." Alex changed the topic, which I'm grateful for.
"I know, Alex. The sun, moon and the stars has been swallowed by the wolves." Heimdall sighed.
"You seem... different." Sam remarked.
"We change more than you think." Heimdall nodded. "Now, before I send you all back, why don't we take one last selfie? Before I let you all die in Ragnarok?"
I think Sam spoke too soon.
Anyways, after Heimdall took a selfie and teleported us back, I noticed a few new rooms. For some reason, the names seem to bother Percy and Annabeth.
"Annabeth! Jason and the others are here!" Percy squealed.
"I know!"
Just as they finished talking, a blond guy with a pretty girl walked behind them. The boy somehow blew Percy up.
"AHHHH! GET ME DOWN! I SWEAR I'LL DROWN YOU GRACE IF YOU-" Percy didn't finished shrieking before the blond guy laughed and let him down.
"Jason! How are you guys here?" Annabeth asked.
"I dunno. Zeus just gathered us and told us we were needed somewhere. Before we could say anything, he teleported us here." Jason said. "I also thought you two were dead."
"This is the Norse afterlife. I suppose Zeus is Greek?" I stepped in.
"If this is Norse, then WHY THE HECK ARE WE HERE?!" the pretty girl crossed her arms.
"He said we were needed. What does that mean?"
"The world's last war starts tomorrow, if that's what you mean." Sam shrugged.
I watched in amusement as the girl held her middle finger up at the sky.
"THROW US INTO ANOTHER WAR! SCREW YOU, ZEUS! IT'S NOT LIKE YOU KNOW HOW TO FIGHT!"
"Alright, Piper. Calm down. Is Frank and Hazel here too?" Percy laughed.
"Yeah. Last I checked, they were trying to hold Leo down from setting this place on fire." Piper huffed.
"Ok. So, who are you guys? And how does this 'Leo' guy set things on fire?" I asked.
Jason explained everything to me. Apparently, they all have powers. Percy and Annabeth's friend, I mean. Frank can turn into animal, Hazel can summon jewels and gems, Leo can summon fire and is immune to it, Piper can make others do things with her voice, Jason can fly, and summon lightning, Percy can control water, breathe underwater, vapour travel and Annabeth's the only one that actually has a working brain.
I spent the rest of day panicking, telling Percy and his friends about Ragnarok, and getting my hair a bit singed from an overheated Leo, and trying (and failing) to fall asleep. Can't wait to die.
