Chapter 3 - Encounters

Here we are. Me, Saito, and a new player tied to us.

This player named Shiina-san apparently got a recommendation from a friend that if she ever needed to ask about something about the game... she would come to her shop.

But apparently she was having a hard time preparing to go in and meet her.

And so now, the exact same Yuna-san that was supposed to help her has now passed down the torch to us, because she can't leave the shop.

"Uhm.. Sorry if I'm taking up your time..." Shiina said.

"It's okay, we were done with what we were doing anyways, we're totally fine with helping you out." I told her.

I shouldn't let my mood affect her too much. She hasn't done anything wrong...

"My name is Hotto Miruku, but you can call me Homiru for short. I'm a 1 handed Swordsman." I introduced myself.

"The names Saito! A resolute tank! Nice to meet you!" Saito excitedly introduced himself.

"Of course! Uhm.. I'm Shiina! I'm a player that started out a week ago! I'm a War Priestess! Nice to meet you!" She said.

Hold on... did she just say War Priestess? Isn't that one of the two new premium classes that players can buy?

"Is that the new class you can buy upon character creation?" Saito asked her.

"Ah yes! My friend recommended me this class after I told them what my playstyle was like. Since the War Priestess is someone who's capable of handling their own in combat while being able to support the party, I knew I just had to go for it!" She said.

"Didn't that cost money?" I asked.

"Yes! But I had some money saved up, so I didn't mind purchasing this." She said.

Well... that does sound nice.

"So you said you were having trouble with a certain boss right?" I asked her.

"Yes! It's The Stalwart Guardian of the River, Mahthew!" She said.

Ahhh...

It's the boss without a proper attack pattern. It's one of the 3 bosses that was added for the beginner areas in the latest expansion pack.

"Oh that thing... He was pretty difficult to beat because it was the only boss that felt like the fight was an actual fight." Saito said.

"What do you mean?" Shiina asked.

"To be specific, it's because the boss didn't have any attack patterns." I said.

"Whoah... I thought I just couldn't realize it... I didn't think a game would put up something like that..." She said.

"I understand why, it does drop a pretty rare artifact. Is that what you were aiming for?" I asked her.

"Yes! It's the one that decreases the damage I receive depending on how low my HP is!" She pointed it out.

"The Sober Man's Pendant..." I said.

"Welp, we better head there now! I'm itching to fight that thing again!" Saito said.

And so we headed off to the boss area and decided to help out Shiina to get the item she needed.
