"Mark my words! I will make you fall in love with me!" The words that Shirokane-san said to me echoed into my head as I'm lying down in bed.

.
.
.

I finally got home after my shift and after a pretty bold confrontation with Shirokane-san and the entirety of Roselia.

"What am I gonna do.... I said so many awful things..." I told myself.

I told Shirokane-san that I didn't like her anymore. Even though I knew that it was a lie. It was a lie that a blurted out of the blue because it felt like the most natural thing to say at that point.

No....

I was afraid.

I was afraid that what I had feared would come true.

I don't want things to go down that path...

I receive a phone call and immediately pick it up.

It's from Saito.

"Hello? What's up?" I said.

"How are you doing?" He asked.

"Uhm... I'm fine? What's this all of a sudden?" I asked him.

"It's just, you seemed like you were bummed out the entire day ever since those rumors got to you. You sure you're okay??" He asked.

"Don't worry, I'm handling everything just fine." I replied.

"If you are then log into the game!! Everyone's waiting for you! And I gotta tell you how awesome HorizOne is!!" He said.

They're all trying it out huh.

"Wait, you're on your phone while you're in the game?" I asked him.

"No, I logged out for a few minutes to call you." He said.

I guess he was just really worried about me...

"Alright, I'll log in in a few minutes..." I said.

"Ah, hold on, is Shirokane-san in the game?" I asked him.

"Yeah! She's been looking for you for about an hour now!!" He replied.

Me?! For an hour?!

But like.... I understand why but.... God is this frustrating.....

"Alright... I'll be on in a few..." I said.

And then ended the call.

.
.
.

Before getting into the game, I pondered about everything that happened recently.

I was looking for holes and reasons for me to believe that I was wrong, I wanted to be wrong.

If I was wrong, I wouldn't mind apologizing until the world ended.

But... There really wasn't anything that made me think otherwise...

I then receive another phone call.

This time, it's from my Dad.

.
.
.

"Hello?" I greeted.

"Anon, how've you been? Everything okay over there?" He asked me.

"Yeah Dad, everything's fine. What about you over there?" I asked.

"It's been pretty busy here, but everything's fine." He mentioned.

"That's nice to hear then..." I replied.
