Chapter 14 - Tell Me

Rinko's P.O.V

I can't seem to calm myself down. Ever since Shiina-san suggested that we have an offline meetup, I've been on my toes ever since.

But I have to focus! Because right now... I'm with Roselia. We we're just listening to the song that Yukina-san wanted us to listen to.

It sounded amazing as always. As I was listening to it, I can already kind of simulate what I can add to this piece. I can't want to play it live with everyone...

"So, will that be all for today?" Hikawa-san asked.

"That's right. We actually managed to finish early this time around." Yukina-san mentioned.

"After all... Yukina's compositions are really good. We were able to visualize what we can do on the song as early as right now! I'll practice my parts when I get home!" Lisa said.

They all seem pretty stoked for this song... Well... So am I!

"Didn't you say you had a date with Eiji today?" Hikawa-san said.

Eiji-kun? Isn't that Imai-san's boyfriend?!

"That's right! We're having a stay-home date! He said he's been practicing some songs and he wants to sing them for me~" Imai-san mentioned.

"Ohhh!!! That sounds very lovely!" Ako-chan said.

"I know right? Eiji is the best <3 He's been working really hard lately with gigs and stuff, so I kind of want to spoil him~" Imai-san said.

How...bold!!

"I see Lisa is spending the rest of her day at ease. We can all stop here for now, we'll be able to cover a lot next week after all." Yukina-san said.

"Says you but you seem to want to head to ????'s café already! Are you really coming over for the cats anymore Yukina?" Imai-san asked.

"I have shared a responsibility with ????. And I too want to visit the cats." Yukina-san said.

"Yes?....Yeah.... I'll be there.... You don't have to wait for me.... I'll be over soon.....Okay, bye...." Hikawa-san said.

She was talking on the phone with someone. It sounded like it was rather important.

"Who was that?" Ako-chan asked.

"Boyfriend. Said he wanted to cook for me tonight. He wants to repay me for always cooking for him apparently." Hikawa-san said.

It's her boyfriend as well?!?!

Wow.... everyone's been talking about their partners lately....

Roselia has changed over the course of a few weeks. But we haven't changed in a way that would badly affect ourselves.

Yukina-san made a friend recently and they have been taking care of a couple of cats that they've found somewhere.

Imai-san has been more energetic and more lively when we're performing since she started going out Eiji-kun.

And Hikawa-san has recently gotten a boyfriend too... she seems to be much more swamped with work but.... She oddly seems a lot more well rested now...

Maybe it's because her boyfriends been helping her out?

Just what exactly is going on....

I'm not afraid of change. And I know we'll be fine but....

When will I change?

I'm still socially awkward...and shy.... Although I am taking small steps... I just hope that... I'll be able to overcome myself...

"You're not gonna leave me alone, right Rinrin?" Ako-chan suddenly clinged to me and asked me.

"What's this all of a sudden Ako-chan??" I asked. Puzzled.

"Well... you'll eventually find love and you might spend more time with your boyfriend, and if you split that time with Roselia... there wouldn't be enough time for me..." Ako-chan said.

Have I been worrying Ako-chan?

"Ako-chan!!! I d-don't think I'll be finding someone so soon!!" I replied.

"No.... There's no point restricting yourself for my sake Rinrin.... Just promise me, we'll still hang out okay?" Ako-chan asked.

"Of course we'll still hang out!" I said.

"Promise?" Ako-chan asked.

"I promise!!" I said.

"Even if you fall in love with Anon-kun?" She asked.

"Even if I fall in love with An- EHH?! WHY DID ANON-KUN SUDDENLY POP UP IN THIS CONVERSATION?!" I panicked.

I don't like Anon-kun!!! We're just friends!!

"Who's Anon-kun?" Yukina-san asked.

Oh no! Did they all hear that?!

"It's the name of the guy that confessed to Rinrin a while back!" Ako-chan told them.

"Ako-chan stop!!!" I tried to stop her.... But maybe Ako-chan is just too powerful for me in real life...

"Ehh? What's he like?" Imai-san asked.

"He's super nice! He helps us out whenever he can, and he always makes our adventure fun! He can slay dragons all by himself!" Ako-chan explained.

"Rinko's suitor can slay dragons?" Yukina-san asked.

"In a game!!! We're friends in a game!!" I immediately explained.

"What's wrong with that? He seems like a nice guy. Do you not like him that way Shirokane-san?" Hikawa-san asked.

"Well I...." I had to stop and think.

Homiru- no.... Anon-kun and I are just friends in Horizon Tale Online. We've been travelling together since the 2nd day of release.

Yes, It's been loads of fun, and I didn't think I could have again after Neo Fantasy Online closed down it's servers....

Every just happened so fast I... didn't know how to feel about all of that....

But I don't hate Anon-kun. Not in the slightest bit. He's nice and very considerate.

I took away so much of his time from him back when I was trying to get the hang of the game.

But I know better than to having developed feelings for someone you met online....

I know that....

How come I didn't say "Yes" to Hikawa-san's question just now....????

"Hey everyone.... I have a question I want to ask all of you..." I asked them and got their attention.

"What it is?" Ako-chan asked.

"How can you tell.... if you like someone?" I asked.

That day, was the day that I was most confused in my entire life.
