It's currently the examination week for us, and of course... I can't log into the game until this passes.

Despite being a hardcore gamer, I still listen to class and take my tests seriously. It's been 4 days since I was last online in HTO.

But today's the last day.... I just have to power through!

"Anon! Did you hear about the game's huge communication update??" Saito said as he entered the room.

"Please don't talk about the game at a time like this..." I told him.

Saito here.... is one of those people that uses their real name as their in-game username.

"You won't believe it!" He added.

"Alright... let me in on it...." I told him. Because even I wanna know.

"They added a voice chat feature! They wanted to support the wishes of players that want to take their tactics while they're in a tought spot." He said.

Speaking of which.... the only reason why Shiina was probably able to command us while in combat was because she was taking some damage on purpose.

"Voice chat huh... I bet Shiina would love that." I said.

"You bet! I can't wait to get home and play!" He excitedly said.

"Me too but... I'm still pretty occupied after this..." I said.

"Oh yeah... you have work after this huh... Oh well, just hop on when you get home! Tomorrow's a free day anyways!" He said.

That is true.

I have been excused for a few days of my shifts because my senior found out that I had exams. She was pretty persistent on covering for me even though I told her that she didn't have to.

Oh well I just have to be able to ace this test, get to work, and hop back into HTO!!!

.
.
.

"Anon-kun, do you have a minute?" A silver haired girl approached us.

Whoah. She's pretty.

Who's she?

"How may I help you?" I asked her.

"I'm just here to inform you that the teachers asked a few students to stay after school for a little while. You're one of them." She said.

"Ohhh... How come?" I asked.

"I don't have any details about it, but I think it's because they want us to report about the statuses of each classes." She said.

"But I'm not the class rep..." I said.

"The class rep is absent today isn't she?" Saito said.

I have work after this... but I still have a few hours of free time before that...

I guess I can spare some time.

"Alright then, I'll stay after class." I informed her.

"Thank you." She said and left us.

.
.
.

"Who was that?" I asked Saito.

He looked at me with disappointment.

"She's the Student Council President! Adagaki Shuuna-san!" He said.

"Third year?" I asked.

"Pretty much." He said.

Huh... maybe she's new? I can't say that I've seen her around. Then again... I don't really pay close attention to any important people around me.... Except for my friends of course.

"But did you notice that strap on her bag?" Saito asked.

"No..? What was it?" I asked.

"That was totally Lily-chan! HTO's fairy mascot! You get it as a freebie when you buy the physical copy of the game remember? You have her on your bag right now!" Saito said.

She had Lily-chan on her??? That must mean that....

The Student Council President plays Horizon Tale Online?!

"What a small world we live in..." I said.

.
.
.

The test went by like a flash. I wanted to finish things early, so I studied extra hard in preparation for all of this.

Now that it's all over, I just have to report to Mr. Wakana and then I'll be off to my part-time job!

.
.
.

"Excuse me, I'll be on my way now sensei!" I said and exited the faculty room.

"I can finally... be on my way..." I said.

But things didn't stop there.

At the end of the hallway, I see Adagaki-san carrying a bunch of heavy looking documents. I rush over to her and decided to help her out.

I took half of the stack of documents she was carrying without asking permission. I didn't see why I shouldn't just help out.

"Eh?! Who's there?" She said. Startled.

"Sorry it's me, Anon-kun." I introduced myself.

.
.
.

"Next time, please let me know if you plan on helping me out." She said.

"I sincerely apologize. But I decided to just help you out because they looked like they were very heavy." I said.

"I appreciate that, thanks for helping me out" She said.

As we were on our way to the student council office, I got the feeling that I had to ask her if she plays the game.

What if it belongs to her big brother and he just gave it to her???

"Adagaki-san... Do you happen to play Horizon Tale Online?" I asked her.

She thinks about what gave it away for a brief moment.

"Ahhh... Lily-chan huh?" She asked.

"Yup. Although it was my friend Saito that noticed it." I said.

"Yeah... I started out a few weeks ago. I'm having a lot of fun! Do you and Miyamura-kun play the game too Anon-kun?" She asked.

"That's great! Ah! But don't play the game during examination week okay? You have to seriously study!" She said.

"Of course I don't! I actually aced the test earlier!" I said.

"Oho? wanna bet and see who gets the highest score on any subject?" She challenged me.

"Prez, I take challenges in HTO seriously, and the same goes irl. Make sure you don't regret those words!" I said.

We had a blast talking to each other about the game, but we soon arrived in the office.

We dropped the documents off, but I helped her organize them for a little bit.

"Would that be all Prez?" I asked.

"Hey Anon-kun... Are you free right now?" She asked me.

Whoah now Kaichou.

"Actually, I have a part time job at Games Hub Setsuko. And I have to get there in a few minutes." I told her.

"That's perfect! Do you mind walking with me until we get to Games Hub Setsuko then? I have something to fetch there." She said.

"Well... alright then." I said.

And so we leave school together and headed straight for Games Hub Setsuko.
