In the beginning of the end, she will be born upon the darkest night onto those who seek the light. She will be born of undreamt power and will lead her allies to a grand victory. Many shall try to deceive her but all will fail. So it is written it...
"Gross." I mumbled as I landed in a jumbled mess of animal bones and shedded snake skin.
"Here." Ron said offering me his hand as he pulled me to my feet and I dusted the dirt off my shorts.
"Now, remember: any sign of movement, close your eyes straight away." Harry reminded us as the four of us looked around. I was walking next to Harry as Lockhart was reluctantly being pushed forward by Ron.
"This way." Harry whispered when we came to a stop in front of two separate tunnels. We walked forward and I looked around, the walls and floor looked like dried leather.
"What's this?" Ron asked running his hands along the wall and Lockhart gasped nervously.
"It looks like a... snake." He mumbled in a shaking tone but Harry shook his head as he examined the wall.
"It's a snakeskin." He muttered and I grimaced.
"Bloody hell. Whatever shed this must be sixty feet long. Or more." Ron gasped.
"The things I do for you two." I muttered to myself as I looked around then turning when I heard a thud behind me to see Lockhart had fainted.
"Heart of a lion, this one." Ron sighed sarcastically. Then Lockhart was suddenly on his feet again as he held Ron's broken wand in his hand.
"The adventure ends here. But don't fret. The world will know our story. How I was too late to save the girl, how you three tragically lost your minds at the sight of her mangled body. So..." Lockhart said as I pressed his wand into Ron's hand before taking a few steps back when Lockhart aimed the broken wand between the three of us.
"..you first, Mr. Potter. Say good-bye to your memories. Obliviate!" He yelled before we could stop him. The force of the backfired spell sent him back into the wall and a loud rumbling was heard before stone started to fall and I jumped back.
When the dust settled I saw that the entrance to the chamber was now blocked off and I looked around to see Harry wasn't that far from me but I didn't see Ron anywhere.
"Ron...Ron?!" I yelled looking around frantically.
"Ron! Ron, are you okay?" Harry asked as we tried to shift the rocks to get to him.
"I'm ok!" He called back then there was a pause for a muffled conversation between him and Lockhart as I looked around.
"Lockhart's memory charm backfired! He hasn't got a clue who he is!" Ron informed us as I walked further into the chamber. This place smelled like mold and there where puddles of water everywhere, I came to a stop at a circular door with seven stone snakes on it and I waited for Harry.
"You ready?" He asked appearing next to me and I hesitantly nodded.
"As ready as I'll ever be." I muttered tightening my grip on my wand.
"Hesha- Hassah." Harry hissed and the snakes on the door began to shift as an 8th snake slithered out causing the others to move one by one, unlocking the door.
