We Attempt To Kill A Bunch Of Already Dead People, So Really It's Just A Normal Tuesday.
Before I knew it, I was staring up the gangplank, a sword in my hand, preparing for the fact that I could very well die for good in the following battle. I waited a second longer, before clearing my throat and speaking, attempting to project my voice as much as possible in the crowd of enemy warriors.
" Excuse me, may I have your attention?" A few of them turned to me as I continued." Jotuns, draugr, and anyone else aboard the great ship Naglafar; my friends and I are here to speak with you. Although I suppose 'speak with' isn't exactly the correct term. We're more here to stop you from setting sail, with force if necessary, and we'll allow you to voice your surrender, so if you want to live, now's a good time to say it."
No one spoke up, so as per usual, Hearthstone made the first move, casting the rune we'd decided would be the best distraction, one that would cause an explosion.
" We're under attack!" I heard one giant yell." Get them!"
T.J. raised the bugle he brought with him and blew on it as Hearth pulled out another rune.
He cast Thurisaz, the rune of Thor, into the air, and the next thing we knew, the elf was sending our enemies flying left and right.
The rest of us took that as our sign to attack. I easily sliced the handoff of one draugr and cut another in half, making my way through the crowd as T.J. fired his bayonet from somewhere behind me. As per usual, Halfborn ripped off his shirt five seconds in, and Mallory Keen made quick work of her enemies with her two daggers.
Blitz was being the most creative of us, attacking giants with neck-ties and expando-ducks. Hearth then cast another rune, Isa, covering a good part of the boat ( and those who stood on it) in ice.
In worse news, it appeared Magnus and the two children of Loki had been spotted, as from somewhere in the crowd I heard my brother yell " Who needs a healer now!?"
And things continued going in our favor, as Halfborn killed a bunch of giants for insulation his hometown and the rest of us continued on fighting like normal. Everything appeared to be going well, apart from the fact that we couldn't see my brother, and a minute later we found out things were definitely not going well for him, as he used the Peace of Frey, knocking everyone's weapons out of their hands.
While this seemed to be a good thing for a second, we all immediately realized this was bad as weapons went flying everywhere, including our own, some of which even went flying off the ship and into the water below, and even though I managed to find my sword again, I almost got hit by a dozen other weapons in the process, one of which ended up being a familiar bayonet.
Taking one weapon in each hand, I began attempting to make my way towards where I'd last seen T.J., which was easy enough as he was the one speck of blue in this batch of off-grey.
When I was about fifteen feet away, I called over to him." T.J.! I think you may have dropped something!"
He glanced towards me, a smile taking over his face." Willow! Thanks!" He took his bayonet back." Hey, when all of this is over, assuming we survive, do you want to go on a date?"
It felt like my face turned completely red." S-sure!"
He beamed." Great!"
" Yeah! Alright!" I gave him one more smile before slicing another draugr in half and with that, we both went back to focusing on the battle at hand.
Then, in the middle of battle, a loud voice which I'd never heard before, yelled," STOP!" And all the fighting around us stopped.
A/N: First of all, sorry for not updating recently, that's 100% my fault and I have nothing to blame it on. Also, I did go a little bit into the following chapter to round this one off because Willow probably wouldn't be able to see or hear Loki denying Magnus's challenge in this chapter. I hope at least someone somewhat enjoyed this chapter, any to all comments from anyone about anything make my day, and just keep in mind the world is your erster.
