Standing up on deck Sailor waits for the rest of her crew to come aboard, it wasn't taking them very long considering they had only docked for a couple of hours. People whisper as they get on board, wondering what could have called them back so fast. Some know, hearing whispers about it on the docks.
"I think you might want to say something." Nikita passes by Sailor with just a whisper, going up to the wheel.
Sailor faces everyone with a sort of sadness she's never let be shown on her face before. "Some of you will have heard, General Kirigan has moved the shadow fold, Novo Kribirsk has been lost to the shadow. Ravka is asking all available charters and crew come help their refugees. Whilst we belong to no city nor country whilst on this ship, we all have been effected by the fold, Ravkan or not. I will not sit by and leave people stranded, so, that being said. I want us under, now."
It's quiet, some in shock, others tearful. No one makes the move to do as their captain orders until Yara claps her hands together. "You heard Sailor! Tidemakers and Squallers get to it!"
It happens in a blur, the untying of the ropes, the hoisting of the sails. Sailor moves to the wheel, directing them out of the docks. Raising a fog helps them get out into deep sea, knowing what needs to happen next Sailor goes to the main deck.
"Sailor, I'm just making sure the glass got fixed." Zara, Sailor's head sqauller asks not wanting many others to hear their conversation.
Sailor nods. "I miscalculated the tides and the pressure, but I know where I went wrong and the glass has been fixed. It won't happen again. Please check in with Yulia as we get going."
Zara looks relieved, knowing she didn't truly doubt her, but just as a fail safe. Sailor goes the the left hand side of the ship, spinning a small hand crank, going to the right side she does the same. Waiting for her crew to come down from tying the sails back to their posts.
"Varia, are we deep enough?" Sailor calls out the the blonde resting on the bow of the ship, helping Yulia with the fog.
Varia snaps her head toward Sailor, with a non verbal que she responds 'yes'. Moving to the middle of the deck, Sailor raises her hand toward the left. Calling toward her small science she feels it fill her body, refreshing her in a way nothing else ever will. The creaking of glass can be heard as half a stain glass window comes to dome over the ship, it stops just before the sails.
Sailor designed the sails wooden polls with metal rods inside of them, and with a flick of the wrist they slowly start to fold in on themselves till they are inside of the floor. It works similar to military tent poles, her time in the army not completely gone to waste. She does this three more times before all of the sails are in their respective places.
Raising her right hand, the other half of the stain glass dome begins to cover over their heads. It fills Sailor with such a sense of pride, this was her childhood dream, this ship is the one she's been drawing since she could remember.
