Chapter 10

After the arena began to get quieter Gary started speaking.

"Well, well, well Jess, every time you open your mouth, that voice that I've been waiting to hear for ages comes out" he said, I smiled thanking him.

"The song, the notes, the voice, your outfit, it's all perfect, you've got it all!" Mum said, giving me a wink, I smiled and thanked her.

"Wow is simply all I can say" Sharon said. "Now shall we vote?" The judges nodded.

"It's a yes from me" Gary said

"Yes" Louis said

"Yes! Of course" Sharon said.

"It's a yes from me sweetie!" Mum said I smiled. "See you at bootcamp" and with that I ran off stage and over to Dermot.

"Well done Jess"

"Thankyou!" I said grinning and hugged him before going to the carpark to find dad and Lauren. When I found the car I got in and they both looked at me.

"Well?" They said.

"I got through!"

"Well done, I knew you would" Lauren said, dad smiled and nodded. I pulled out my phone and scrolled down my contacts to text Nicky.

To: Nicky

I guess I'll be seeing you at bootcamp then? Xx

I didn't wait long for a reply and when I read it, I smiled to myself.

From: Nicky

I guess so, we'll have so much fun, and we'll hang out everyday and I'll introduce you to everyone I meet and you can do the same to me! Xx

I replied quickly with a winky face then put my phone back in my pocket. When we arrived home mum wasn't back yet and as it was really warm outside, me and Lauren went into the garden.

"Was it good? Your audition" Lauren asked me

"Yeah, it was great, I was so nervous though." I said. "You know Nicky? The boy I met and told you about at my first audition?"

"Yeah" she said

"I think he might find out about me and mum"

"What do you mean?" Lauren questioned

"Before my audition in the rooms, mum told me that people aren't allowed to know that I'm her daughter because they might think mums being biased towards me."

"Ohh"

"Yeah well I think Nicky might find out soon because every time I see him he always says to me "you look like Nicole" and I always have to say that I get that a lot" I explained

"Well if he does, tell him, I'm sure one person won't be bothered. And if you don't want to tell him, tell him your a tribute act" she told me, I laughed at the end part.

"Well, I never thought you'd say that!"

Lauren's POV

About an hour later, Nicole came home and congratulated Jess on her audition. I felt my phone vibrate in my hand and I checked it to see it was luke asking for the money. I sighed and texted him back.

To: Luke

I don't have it yet. I haven't had the chance.

From: Luke

Well, you better get a move into, I want it in an hour, at the park.

I sighed and turned to face Jess, Nicole and Lewis.
