Chapter 6

Lauren's pov

I just woke up and I ran into jess' room.

"Wake up jess!" I shouted

"W-what?" She mumbled

"Your audition is today"

"Oh shit yeah!" She said sitting up.

"Oh good your up" nicole said coming in. "Now jess, I wanted to tell you that you'll be fine today, just go out there and smash it like you did yesterday okay?"

"Okay, thanks mum" she said hugging her before pushing us out the room so she could get ready.

"You okay after last night?" Nicole asked as we sat down in the living room.

"Yeah, I think so"

"You think so?" She said but it came out more like a question. I began to explain

Jess's pov

I'd just got out the shower and was just blowing my hair dry, I was really, really nervous for today. What if they
recognise me, what if they don't like my song or my voice. I'd let mum down if they didn't or if I messed it up. I went into my wardrobe to pick out some clothes. I picked a flowery play suit with my pink vans and quickly applied my makeup.

"Jess you ready?" Mum called

"Coming now!" I shouted back as I took one last look at myself in my mirror. Lauren was going to visit her mum today.

"Finally" mum joked. Then we all got in the car.

"Bye jess, good luck!" Lauren said as mum pulled up outside the hospital.
"Thanks" I replied then climbed in to the front through the two front seats.

"You okay?" Mum asked me

"Yeah"

"Really?"

"Okay, I'm a little nervous, I've never done anything like this before. I've never sang Infront of anyone apart from you or Lauren." I explained

"Just pretend there's nobody else in the room okay, just yourself. Don't think about the judges being there or the camera crew. Pretend your in your bedroom with your headphones in and just sing, you'll be fine baby, promise" she said as we got out the car.

"Okay bye, love you" I said and hugged her

"Love you too" she said then we both walked the opposite direction. Mum going to inside the building and me going to queue. Great I was miles away from the front.

I'd just walked inside the building to be faced with other people singing and practicing. I'd got my number and looked around.

"Hey!" I heard a voice say from behind. I turned around and my eyes were met with the most gorgeous boy ever!
"Hi, I'm jess" I told him

"I'm Nicholas, Nicholas McDonald, but you can call me Nicky" he said making me laugh

"Okay, well nice to meet you Nicky" I said

"You too. So what you here for?"
"To sing.... Like everyone else?" I said he giggled.

"No I meant are you family or auditioning, but you just told me your singing so I'm guessing your gonna audition?"

"No shit Sherlock!" I said sarcastically while laughing.

"You nervous?" He asked
"Yeah you?"

"Yeah. Who's your favourite judge?"

"Erm, good question. I don't know?" I said

"Mines Nicole" he said making me smile. "She gorgeous, any man would be lucky to date her. You look like her, anyone ever told you that?"
