17th Anniversary

"Liebling, it's time to wake up." Gellert whispered into Albus' ears. 

The latter opened his eyes. He turned to his husband.

"Morning." Gellert said with a grin. "How was your dream?"

"It was wonderful." He lied. It was bloody horrible. In his dream Gellert was having an affair with Abernathy and got divorced with him.

"Glad to hear. Aaand, do you remember what day today is?"

"...Monday?" Albus asked confused.

"Yes," He answered amused. "But also our 17th anniversary."

"What?! Really?" He opened his eyes wide. "I can't believe I forgot!"

"We were supposed to work a lot. It's Monday, after all."

"Oh." He was disappointed. "I will be-"

"I said we were supposed to." The wizard noticed his husband's disappointment." But I told McGonagall that you are taking one day off."

The ocean eyes started to twinkle. "How about your work?"

"Well, Abernathy will do all the work for me. Oh, he is becoming more and more trustworthy. I am even considering to make him the vice executive."

"If you like him so much then marry him then" Albus mumbled while rolling his eyes.

"What? Did you say Mary? Who is Mary?" It almost seemed like Gellert's jealous mode had been activated.

"No, I didn't say anything. Anyway, that's brilliant! We can spend the entire day together!" 

"Well unless your annoying salamander pops out."

During breakfast, an owl arrived with a letter. It was for Albus.

"Oh, it's from Bennet."

"Who?" Gellert suddenly lifted his head.

Albus ignored him and kept reading the letter.

"Who is he??? Why is he writing to you in our anniversary??" Gellert looked furious as hell.

"My new colleague." The professor answered shortly, as he continued reading.

"Gottverdammt why does Hogwarts have so many men!"

"It's a woman, Gellert."

"Oh." He suddenly looked relieved.

"Don't tell me you're jealous again."

"I'm not." 

"Perhaps I was just overthinking about him and Abernathy." He secretly thought.

"So, what does it say?"

"I am afraid I might have to go to Hogwarts and-"

"What exactly happened?"

"You see... a student was poisoned by one of her classmates-unintentionally, they just wanted to give her the amortentia- but her parents are blaming the school for it and I must be there. But I will come back as early as possible. Okay?"

The wizard was first disgruntled, but then he smirked as he came up with a "flawless" plan.

"What if I went with you, süßer?"

"Well, I think it will be okay if you waited me around the gates of Hogwarts."

"No, I mean if I actually went with you."
