"Does Seokhoon not have breakfast with you both in the morning?" Yonghwa asked.
Mina and Dan Tae exchanged a look.
"No dear. He is usually very busy in the morning, so he eats alone and goes to work immediately." Mina replied.
Yonghwa nodded. But she knew something wasn't right there.
The Joos were hiding something.
"I passed around Seokhoon's place yesterday night," Yonghwa spoke carelessly, sipping to her soup. "And I saw someone with Seokhoon. A small figure."
Mina tried to hold in her shock at Yonghwa's sensitivity to the household. She was one hard-to-deal-with character.
"Ah, it must have been the servants..." Mina replied calmly.
Dan Tae kept silent all the way through the dinner.
"Really? Well...they weren't acting like how a servant and a boss should be like." Yonghwa continued. But she didn't mention the soft music and dancing...what she could possibly have seen in the blur.
Mina looked to Dan Tae, hoping he would say something. It was his idea to hide Rona's identity. The least he could do was say something to distract Yonghwa from this suspicion.
Just then, Seokhoon entered the dining hall.
"Abeoji, Mina, Yonghwa-ssi." He greeted them all.
"Seokhoon! Are you here to dine with us?" Yonghwa smiled.
"No, I am here to inform Abeoji that we must head out now for the meeting with the shareholders. Apologies for disrupting the meal." Seokhoon spoke.
As Seokhoon was speaking, Yonghwa noticed something she had not noticed before last night.
A ring on Seokhoon's fourth finger.
And she was sure, that's a wedding ring.
But she kept her expressions well hidden.
"Ah, yes. I must be heading my way." Dan Tae stood from his seat and gave Mina a kiss before leaving with Seokhoon.
Before they exited, Yonghwa got up and followed behind.
"Uncle, can I tag along for a ride? I want to go to my construction site for a checkup."
Seokhoon and Dan Tae exchanged a look.
"Okay." Dan Tae spoke, shocking Seokhoon.
Every single moment, Seokhoon was confused about his father's intention of having Yonghwa over. It would not be as simple as a business contract.
But rules he had to abide by.
The three exited the dining hall and headed for the limo.
Mina bid them farewell, and as soon as she saw the limo moving further away from Hera Palace, her heart was relieved.
She turned to the servants. "Did you have the chicken soup ready?"
"Nae."
"Okay, bring with me, let's go visit Rona."
A knock came on Rona's door.
"Mina!" Rona welcomed Mina in. "I haven't seen you for a while, come sit, I'll make tea."
Mina smiled at Rona's sweet gestures. She is such a girl with a pure heart. How could anyone bear to hurt her?
And yet, Mina felt, something bad was about to land onto the Joo Family.
