"Be careful, don't move." Chanseok spoke as he gently dabbed the disinfect cotton swab on Rona's wound.
After carefully putting some cream on the cut, he placed a small bandage over the wound.
"Dear oh dear Rona..." Mina looked at Rona, holding her cheeks. "I told you not to go, look what happened when you insist." Mina got all worried.
Rona smiled.
"You could still smile in such a situation? Gosh! You're going to give me a heart attack." Mina got a little frustrated.
Chanseok also sneaked a smile as he packed the first aid box.
"You two rascals. Don't you guys have a little urgency about this crazy situation?"
Chanseok and Rona exchanged a look.
"I knew it would happen...was expecting something even more serious." Rona spoke. "I didn't imagine Yonghwa having such hatred for me."
"Thanks to her, I am freaking out." Mina tramped back and forth.
"It's alright, Mina. I am fine."
"She's fine, Mina." Chanseok reassured.
Mina crossed her hands at her hips, breathing heavily, angry at the two who weren't urgent about the situation at all.
Rona got up from her seat and gave Mina a little hug, comforted her that everything is fine.
"I am going to be mad at you guys if this continues." Mina pouted.
"We are fine." Rona laughed. But as she seated again, a sign of seriousness emerged from her expression.
"I wouldn't be back to my house to attend to the twins for the meantime...I don't want them to see that I am injured. They must be protected, so I have asked Mintae sunbae and Juni onni to my house to babysit the kids for the meantime." Rona spoke.
"Where will you stay then?" Mina held onto Rona's hand as she seated herself next to Rona.
"She'll stay with me." Chanseok spoke.
Rona nodded.
"For maybe 2 days. The injury should be healed by then. It's just a small cut." Rona explained.
Mina was alright to entrust Rona to Chanseok, but what worried her more is Rona's situation.
"Are you sure you don't want me by your side?" Mina asked.
"I would rather you go back and protect my children." Rona sighed. "I am worried that Yonghwa will find ways to attempt to hurt my children."
Chanseok sighed.
"You must protect them while I am gone. I entrust them to you." Rona held tightly onto Mina's hands.
Mina nodded unwillingly. She wanted to make sure Rona was truly alright.
"Don't worry Mina. Just 2 days max, Rona would be back. Plus I'll give you my spare keys, come in anytime while I am gone for work." Chanseok handed Mina the keys.
Mina agreed. She brushed Rona's hair and bid the two farewell.
After washing up, Rona sat by the empty swimming pool side, dangling her feet and leaning back with her two hands supporting her tired body. She closed her eyes and let her head tilt back, stretching her muscles.
"Ms Rona." Chanseok called, catching Rona's attention.
Rona opened her eyes and turned her head to find Chanseok holding a cup of milk before her.
