"Where to, miss?"
The stewardess looked to the girl in trance. Blank, like a block of wood.
"Miss?"
Rona finally caught herself back in reality. With only a backpack in hand, no phone, limited cash and her passport.
Where shall she go?
"Vienna." A deep voice rang next to Rona.
Rona shocked, turned to see who had answered the question.
"Chanseok Oppa?" Rona exclaimed.
The stewardess nodded in doubt, but continued with her job, taking the two passports and prepared the tickets.
"Annyeong." Chanseok smiled, as usual, so bright, so warm.
"Why...why are you here? I thought..." Rona questioned.
"You thought I'll leave you alone and wander off to nowhere?" Chanseok laughed. "Of course not."
"You...shouldn't...you have your job...and what if...they could track us?"
"Why would they track us when we are the ones they wanted to kick out?" Chanseok spoke in a positive tone, but a sense of sadness was within the words.
Rona looked down. She agreed.
"Rona-ah," Chanseok called.
Rona looked back up, her face filled with tiredness.
"From now on, I'll be the one protecting you."
Rona didn't know what or how to respond to Chanseok's promise. She didn't want to be a burden to anyone. She has nothing in hand now and she knew, somehow even leaving Korea would only add on an extra burden to someone else.
"Chanseok Oppa...you really don't..."
"I quit my job already." Chanseok spoke. "Might as well take a trip and rest." He spoke, carefree, relieved.
"You..." Rona stuttered at her word, looking at the man next to her who avoided eye contact with her.
His smile, sent a warmth in Rona's tired soul.
1 hour ago...
"Bae Rona is gone forever. You've lost her."
Seokhoon stumbled his steps out of Angel Orphanage, with the brown folder in his hand.
He couldn't believe that Rona was so determined to part with him.
He couldn't stop blaming himself, for his stupidity, his cowardliness.
He had promised Rona that he wouldn't let her go.
Yet, he failed.
He chose power over love.
The love that was pure, true, irreplaceable.
All the way back to Hera Palace, he tried his best to focus on his driving, but at moments, he nearly crossed the wrong line and crashed himself.
But intentionally, he had that thought.
The scary thought.
Yet he finally made it back to Hera Palace like a zombie.
