Natalia's P.O.V
--------------
When we reached the past, it was quite apparent that many days had passed.
Dang.
I had thought I had this time travel down.
Apparently not.
We had landed near Hiccup's house, where a large new house was currently being build beside it.
By the looks of it, it was almost done too.
I checked my watch, which for some strange reason, changed times when I timed traveled.
Like, if I spent a day in the future, and a week passed in the past, when I went back to the past, it would zoom forward a week so the time would be always correct.
My watch said it had been almost two weeks.
So that meant, I had a day and a half to answer Mora's question.
If I didn't show up tomorrow on the island that the Night Fury was on, she would know I didn't wish to go with her.
"Natalia!" Minow shaking my shoulder made me lose my train of thought.
"Yes?" I asked.
Rose was scanning our surroundings.
"There was a black figure over by that building," Minow said, pointing to a nearby house. "I think he saw us time travel here."
"Uh oh...that's bad," I replied.
Minow nodded.
"I think it was a scout," she said.
Scout?
Minow saw my confused look.
"A scout is a certain group from the ninja clan that searches for individuals to recruit," she elaborated.
"Oh, cool," I nodded my head.
"Um, no, it's not cool," Minow answered.
"If they saw you time travel, chances are, they're after you now,"
Well then.
It was probably easier for me to find them then.
I wasn't sure if I actually wanted to train with them, cuz leaving for who knows how long with a bunch of strangers, didn't exactly appeal to me.
But, it was my family heritage, and I would train with them, if only to honor my family.
I shook my head to myself, already having different thoughts since I found out my history.
Never before would I have thought of honor.
I shook my head again, this time to clear my thoughts.
"Let's go see the others," I told Rose and Minow, who were both standing by me again.
"What about the guy?" Rose protested.
I waved my hand in dismissal of the guy.
"It doesn't matter really," I said.
Rose shrugged in reply, and we walked to the construction area.
Up close, I could tell that only the finishing touches were needed to complete the house.
I walked ahead of the two girls, and up to Hiccup, who was looking at some notes or something.
"Hey Hiccup," I greeted him.
He looked up with a smile, then hugged me.
"How did the trip go?" He asked. "Find what you were searching for?"
I nodded.
"Yeah, in a way," I replied.
Hiccup gave me a funny look for my answer.
I laughed a little. "What?" I asked.
He shrugged and laughed a bit too. "Nothing."
I smiled at him, then turned to go find my parents, who were in the house.
"I wouldn't go in there if I were you," Hiccup said, wincing a bit for some reason.
"Why not?" I asked, confused by his reaction.
"Um, let's just say, your parents are in a bit of a mood," he replied slowly.
"My mum too?" I asked.
Hiccup shrugged. "Well, not at first, but your father was furious that you just went everywhere without asking, and I guess he convinced your mom as well that what you were doing was wrong."
I looked down, now a bit nervous of going in there, and a bit hurt that my mum would take dad's side.
I mean, I knew that my dad would be mad-sometimes I wondered if he even loved me at all-but to have my mum mad at me also, well, I felt vulnerable.
I slowly walked into the house, where my mum and dad were standing together.
"Hi mum, hi dad," I said quietly.
They turned, and my father immediately became an unhealthy red colour.
"You have a lot of explaining to do young lady," he shouted.
I looked to my mum, but she avoided my eyes.
"Where have you been??" My father asked angrily.
Suddenly I felt angry.
"I don't have to tell you anything!" I yelled back.
"Natalia!" My mum reprimanded sharply.
I drew back at her tone.
My father looked very angry, but I turned and walked out the door.
I walked fast because I could hear them following me.
I caught up to Rose and Minow, who were talking by the path to town.
"Hey guys," I greeted them.
"Hey Natalia," they said in unison again.
I wanted to get out of here.
"You guys up for an adventure?" I asked.
Rose's eyes brightened at the sound of adventure, but then they dimmed again.
"Sorry Nat," she said. "I can't, Minow was just about to show me around town."
I nodded slowly, feeling a stab of hurt.
I wondered why they didn't invite me. They knew I knew just as much as Rose did about the town.
But, I couldn't blame Rose.
We had a new great friend, and this was the adventure of a lifetime.
"Oh, no, that's fine!" I said quickly. "You guys go do that! Don't let me get in your way."
I forced a fake grin, and cursed my good acting skills as they grinned back, unaware of my mood.
"There's always tomorrow, or they next day after, or they rest of the year!" Rose said, smiling.
I nodded fake brightly.
"Yeah," I mumbled.
Tomorrow.
The rest of the year.
Maybe not...
I waved to them as they walked down the path to town.
Just then, my parents caught up with me, looking angrier than before.
"You are grounded Natalia!" My father hissed, shaking a finger at me.
"Dad, you can't just ground me after being in my life for a few days!" I yelled at him.
"You've been gone for three years!"
"Natalia!" My mum scolded me.
"Do not yell at your father! Go to your room immediately!"
That hurt, having mum yell at me.
She never yelled at me.
One side of me understood.
She loved my dad, and she had him back after three years.
She didn't want him angry at her too because they disagreed on how to raise me.
The other side of me though, was swirling with anger, hurt, and confusion, and that side, made me quite reckless.
"Fine!" I yelled, the first tear slipping down my cheek.
My mum saw it and winced, guilt in her eyes.
I could feel Hiccup's eyes on me, but I ran into the newly built house, until I found my room, which was on the upper floor with my name stapled to the door.
I walked in quickly, shut the door, and looked around, taking off my jacket and letting it slip to the floor by the door.
My bed was already made, with a few pieces of furniture places around the room.
Suddenly feeling very tired, I laid down on the bed, and closed my eyes.
