Natalia's P.O.V
-----
I was rudely awakened by water to the face.
"Get up girl," a man's voice growled at me.
I blinked the sleep out of my eyes and looked around.
Astrid was gone.
"Where's Astrid?!" I demanded at the man, fear causing my English accent to be more pronounced.
"She's already being taken to our boss, not that it's any of your business. Man, she sure didn't want to leave you though. She's one heck of a kicker she is." the man grumbled.
I felt thankful Astrid had at least tried to stay with me, even though we barely knew each other.
I scrambled to my feet and starting walking as the guard shoved me.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked quietly.
"Where else, stupid?" the guard replied.
"to our boss, where your fellow blondy is at."
Well then.
Didn't have to be so rude.
We walked through a bunch of damp dark hallways of stone to a large room, where a throne sat in the corner, barely noticeable in the shadows.
The guard shoved me in and walked off, the door slamming in his wake.
To my relief, Astrid was already standing there in the room.
"Astrid!" I called, running forward.
Astrid turned around, and relief broke out over her features.
"Thank goodness!" she said. "I had no idea how you were. I'm sorry I let us get separated."
I shook my head.
"Not your fault," I responded. "how could you have stopped it?"
Astrid smiled slightly.
"Thanks," she said.
"Alright, alright, enough with the girly reunion," a raspy deep voice cut in.
Astrid and I spin around to see a huge Viking walk into the room.
It was the Viking from before that was there when we were taken.
The leader.
The man walked in slowly, as if he was enjoying taking his sweet old time.
"I bet you're wondering why you're here," he said as he sat heavily onto his throne.
Wow, this guy looks kinda like how I always imagined the chef Boyardee guy to look like. You know? Those spaghetti meatball things in a can? No?
Astrid and I silently stood there.
"Well I'll tell you," the Viking seemed unperturbed by our death glares.
"you're here, to help me conquer the world."
Wow.
Seriously, is that all villains ever thought about?
"And just what," Astrid crossed her arms as she spoke. "makes you think we'll do that?"
The man straightened.
"Because if you don't, your precious little village will burn to the ground. If you do help however, I will spare it when I am king."
Well EXCUSE HIM.
Just who the Hades does he think he is?
A burst of anger shot through me, making me slightly reckless.
"Just who are you anyways? Chef Boyardee?" I asked in a petulant tone.
He turned to glare at me.
"My name is Warrath the Conquerer, and I am greatly feared to all!" He said grandly.
I shrugged.
"Can't be too feared, I mean, I've never heard of you." I said.
Astrid snickered into her hand.
Warrath sneered angrily at me.
"Then maybe you've heard of my father, Drago Bludvist." he growled.
Astrid gasped.
I looked over, only to see her paling rapidly.
I didn't know who Drago Bludvist was, but by Astrid's reaction, he couldn't be someone good.
Warrath seemed angry at my lack of reaction.
"Do you not have a sense of self-preservation girl?" he demanded. "Everybody fears Drago!"
I shrugged again.
"I've never heard of him," I said slowly.
Warrath grumbled angrily.
"Never mind," he said. "I am here to avenge my father, because your stupid cousin and his Night Fury shamed him, nearly killed him! I will get revenge-starting with your cousin."
Okay, so obviously something happened between Warrath's father Drago, and Hiccup.
I wish I knew what though.
"Then why did you take us?" Astrid asked.
Warrath chuckled. "Why you, dear Astrid, are just bait for your precious boyfriend. As to your little friend here, I am in need of her Dragonese speaking talents."
I sniffed indignantly.
Idiot, speaking as if I'm not standing right here. Why, I otta smack him across the face, him and his nutty plans to take over the world..what a moron.
Hmm, kinda reminds me of the rich guys back home that want my time machine. I wonder what happened to them? I mean, I've been gone for a while. That reminds me of mom! Oohh, she's gunna be mad when I get back. I hope those stupid guys aren't after her again-
I shook my head to clear the stray random thoughts as a loud bang sounded through the room.
Stupid ADHD-causing me to miss important stuff...
I looked over to see Astrid throwing anything she could reach right at Warrath.
I almost laughed out loud at the absurdity of it.
Astrid was one brave girl.
"Moron! We'll never join you!!" she shouted as she threw a fire stoker at him.
The fire stoker hit his head.
Warrath stood still in shock for a second, then snapped angrily at the guards to bring Astrid back to the dungeons.
"No! Natalia!" Astrid yelled, struggling against the guards.
"I'll be fine Astrid!" I called to her, just before the door slammed shut behind them.
Great.
Stuck with good ol' Chef Boyardee.
I sneered at Warrath, all previous fear gone now that I saw what a pitiful man he was.
Sure he was huge and scary, but he looked kinda dumb.
I think in a pinch I could outsmart him.
"You will join me girl," Warrath snarled at me.
I shook my head.
"No, you're wrong. I won't. Not now, not ever."
"We'll see," Warrath said. "you are a small young girl. Let's see how you do under, pressure."
Uh oh.
That didn't sound good.
I swallowed, then said chirpily, "Bring it on Chef Boyardee."
Warrath glared at me, then shouted to the guards to bring me to the dungeons.
What an big blundering goon, using guards for everything.
I'd like to see how he fights by himself. Probably total amateur hour for that guy.
What a wimp.
I winced as the guard unnecessarily poked me in the back with his sword.
Suddenly, I jumped back startled, as a large commotion down one of the halls we just passed, drew my attention.
It was some guards, fighting an angry Dragon.
To my dismay, they managed to hold the Dragon down, and it looked like they were planning on killing it, as one of the guards had raised his sword over the Dragon's head.
It didn't matter that I was risking getting hurt for running off, I had to save that Dragon.
"No! Stop!" I shouted, running forward.
The guards looked up surprised.
When I got closer, what I saw froze me in my tracks.
That Dragon wasn't just any Dragon.
I had only ever seen that species once before.
...
Night Fury.
