There was movement under the sea as three tails glided effortlessly through the local reef. Three sets of hands collecting different specimens and putting them in a satchel. All was tranquil until a beeping noise broke the silence. They decided to resurface. Once they surfaced, the beeping sound can be heard in the boat that Leo's girlfriend's dad rented them.

Leo and Venus de Milo have been dating for over three months now. They are both mutant turtles and creatures of the sea. Leo and his friends changed into mermaids and mer-mutants from a mysterious full moon. Venus and her family changed into sea snake and octopus creatures due to a mysterious blood moon. Venus and her family moved into town about five months ago and are adjusting to their new lives greatly.

Venus's dad owns a boat rental place, Leo and Venus are dating, and her family don't have to feel like outcasts with Leo and the others being mermaids and their families knowing. "Okay, who is it for this time?" Angel asked irritably as they climbed into the boat. "It's me." "It's for me."

Leo and April said at the same time. They smiled sheepishly before answering and texting at the same time as well. "Hello? Hey Donnie. Don't worry we got plenty of coral and other things you can examine once we get home. No, I'm not talking to you underwater. I know you worked really hard to make these water-proof phones for us.

We'd thought it would be easier to leave them in the boat so we can get the coral with free hands. A utility belt. Oh? That's Mikey's idea? We'll think about it. Yeah, yeah, see you guys later. Bye." He hung up. "Sorry, Donny was dying to know how things went with our scavenger hunt while grilling me about not using his phones underwater." Angel huffed. She picked up her purple phone.

"No offense, it was nice of Don to create these phones that can endure 30 feet of water and no payment fees with awesome internet access, but you guys always get calls or texts. It's annoying." "Are you really annoyed? Or do you feel left out since no one really contacts you except for us and Gerry and Ryan?" April asked as she finished her texting. "Casey was just confirming our date later tonight."

Angel growled at them. "What's with the evil glare?" they stared at her full of surprise. "Is that what it's all about these days? A date with Casey. A date with Venus. My brother wants us to do favors. Your other brothers just plain bothering. Your dad always worrying that you're going to run away." "Whoa, chill Angel. We just ended up busy is all." she rolled her eyes. "Even Gerry has Cecelia and his family bothering us when we hang out."

"What about Ryan?" she sighed sadly. "He's been so busy working the graveyard shift that he forgets to check on me. It sucks." They were about comfort her when a boat horn caught their attention. It's a fishing boat. April squinted her eyes in pain. "You okay April?" she began rubbing her temples. "I hate it when the fish make funky noise. I can never get used to it." Angel spotted a sea turtle. "Oh no, that poor little guy."

"What are you doing?" she jumped in the water. "You don't think she's going to?" "Oh no she's not that reckless." A moment of silence fell upon them before they jumped in after her.

Angel swam as fast as she could before reaching the turtle. "You need to get out of here before they try to eat you." a funky shadow spooked it away. "Hey Angel!" she sighed in frustration. "What do you want Mars?" Mars de Milo is Venus's older brother. Unlike Venus, he's a human with dark brown hair and ebony colored eyes. When he touches the water, he becomes an octopus creature with orange and copper tentacles. "I was just taking a swim when I saw you, this area is dangerous you know?"

She put her hands on her hips. "Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Now that the turtle is far away from here we should..." she was interrupted with a ginormous net engulfing them. "Crap." They were cramped together. As she was squirming to get free, she failed to notice Mars blushing from being so close to her since he likes her. "Damn it! Move those tentacles of yours and see if you'll have better luck." He tried to move his tentacles, but they were stuck. "It's no use, I can't move them in these nets." "Guys!" Leo and April have arrived.

April used her powers to freeze the net. With a couple of punches, they were freed from the net. "Yes!" They scrambled away before anymore nets can be dropped. Once they returned to the boat, April and Angel were arguing. "You guys could've gotten hurt!" "Someone had to save the turtle!" as they continued, Leo nudged Mars.

"I can give you Angel's number. She'll be happy to have someone new contact her." His eyes lit up. "Really?" he took out his own phone that Donny invented for him and his family as well.

"It was nice of your brother to make these water-proof phones for everyone." Leo smiled. "Not everyone, just everyone that knows what we are."
