"Really? Would she? That's great to hear. We really appreciate this Joy. If you can spread the word to other mermaids that are happy to help us. Thanks a bunch. We'll keep in contact. Bye." April hung up her cell phone. "Great news guys, Joy has a friend who's a natural born mermaid like Karai and Saki. She's a good mermaid and can help us train for the upcoming battle. Everyone grew worried. "What battle? I thought they were going to try to get land underwater with a typhoon." Casey said to his girlfriend.

She looked at everyone. "It turns out Saki and Karai have been causing trouble underwater. They have a rare ability to use hypnosis on everyone else, including mermaids and sea creatures. They have been preparing an army to stop other mermaids like us from stopping them." "You mean like mind control?" Mikey asked nervously. "Exactly Mikey, you got it. She lives near Laird island and can help us fight better physically and with our abilities." They were about to speak when Leo interrupted them. "I know you guys want to go with us, but this is something we have to do alone.

We need you guys to stay and see what you can do on land." "Joy told me that mermaids have a hard time with sonar. Maybe you guys can make devices with it to help us." April perked. Everyone seemed hesitant. Much to everyone's surprise, Kirby agreed with them. "They're right. If we can make sonic waves big and strong enough, it could stop the sirens." "You're crazy Mr. O'Neil. It'll affect Leo and the others too you know." Raph. Always the pessimistic of the group.

"We can wear earplugs you ding dong." Angel wasn't in the mood for this. April seemed shocked that her dad is backing their idea. He put his hands on her shoulders. "Truthfully, I'm petrified at the thought of you and your friends fighting, but we haven't been supportive with your transformations.

We've been keeping you from what will forever be a part of you. For that I'm very sorry." he hugged April tightly and began weeping. Everyone felt guilty, but agreed with Kirby. They were hugging one another and hopefully not saying their final goodbyes to the mermaids. "My son, you and your friends are carrying a heavy burden on your shoulders. Forgive an old rat for not being as supportive as I should've been." "We're not doing this alone. You guys, Joy and Sydney are here for us. Helping us save the world is enough support anyone could ask for."

With final hugs, the mermaids were leaving. "We're counting on you guys. Donny you're brilliant; I'm sure you'll invent something great." April called out to her dad. "Help Donny at the aquarium. There's gotta be something useful there." Everyone waved to them. "Try not to get killed please. We want you guys back in one piece."

First they headed to the store to by earplugs. Gerry had another idea that might help them out. "Guys, let's make one more stop. I saw this in a movie and hopefully it'll work on us." Angel shrugged her shoulders. "Eh why not." They were swimming the fastest they've ever swam to meet Joy's friend. No sign of the sirens. "There's nothing here." Gerry said. April looked around. "Joy said there should be a wrecked ship around here. After searching for a few minutes, Angel found it. "Over here!" much to their joy, there it was. They swam to it.

"Hello. Ms. Trisha. We are friends of Joy and Sydney. We need your help." April said as Angel knocked on the captain's door. The door creaked open to reveal a mermaid with long wavy hair and the most beautiful teal colored eyes they ever seen. She's got a green tail and a matching bra with a net top covering it. "Please come in." they entered. The room was how the pirates left it. Just underwater. "I feel like we're in a scene from Scooby Doo." Angel said. The others glared at her.

"Please have a seat on those barrels and tell me what your problem is." She sat on her chair behind the desk. They sat down and told her what has transpired up till now. "You want me to train you? So you can fight these natural born mermaids?" they nodded their heads. "I'll have to evaluate you youngsters before I can decide whether or not I should help you." They gulped.
