Turtle H2O 14

Today is a special day. An eclipse that only appears every 50 years will appear today. Leo and the girls were with their friends and family at 5:30AM to watch it. They were hoping to have no problems watching it since the moon and sun collide together. Except for Gerry and Joy and Sydney.

They're not too sure about what will happen and won't risk a mishap but won't stop Leo and the others from trying. There's the possibility that nothing will even happen. When the eclipse came it proved to be a mistake. Leo and the girls were staring intently at it like they would at a full moon alone.

After their families had to snap them out of whatever trance they were in, they all headed to bed to rest more. With no school it makes it better to rest. The young mermaids were having a hard time resting. They felt overheated and super thirsty. Angel went for an early swim in her pool at home. She saw her brother coming to check on her.

She hid so he couldn't see her mermaid form. She was shocked to see that she was normal in the water. Her powers weren't working either. She ran to call the others. Later, April and Leo met up with her. April was fanning herself in an attempt to cool down. Leo was chugging his water bottle. Angel was moving her shirt up and down to try to cool off as well.

She explained what happened at her house. She demonstrated for them. They were just as shocked. They touched the water and were normal. No powers also. "How's this possible? I checked everything in the lab, but we aren't able to change back. How?" Then it dawned on her. "The eclipse somehow did this to us."

Leo was done with his water but is still thirsty. "What I want to know is why am I so thirsty? And we all obviously can't cool down for nothing. It's only a high of 75 degrees today." Angel was still flapping her shirt. "It's like we're fish out of water or something." April shrugged her shoulders unsure of what's going on.

"It seems like it. I just hope it's not permanent. Let's keep as cool and hydrated the best we can. I'm heading to the aquarium. Maybe I can use one of the freezers to cool down. See you guys." She left them. Angel announced she'll try to find a store or restaurant with good air conditioning inside. Leo was left alone not sure what to do.

After a second of thinking he decided to head home to gather some stuff then he'll head to one of the rivers. That should help right? Off he went. With April, she arrived at the aquarium and found a freezer she could use with no interruptions.

She found the key and can open it from the inside if needed. She made herself comfortable and sighed in relief. The freezer proved to really keep her cool she stopped feeling thirsty. She fell asleep, the freezer never froze her but kept her at the right temperature.

With Angel, she went to a clothing store with great air conditioning for a while, but her dehydration caught up with her. She was leaving to find a drink but becoming impatient. She grabbed a random guy and began kissing him. Steam was coming out from their lips. She's taking all of the water in his body. Before she could dry him out, Joy saw her and pulled her away.

The poor guy was in a daze and fainted on them. "Angel, what we're you thinking? You could've killed him." She wasn't listening. She was panting still feeling thirsty. Seeing that she wasn't well, she escorted her to her home after calling an ambulance for the poor guy.

Once they made it, Angel saw a little pond and rested in there. Joy and Sydney couldn't wake her up but let her stay in the pond for now. With Leo, he headed to his house to get a few things. He got his phone and another water bottle and his wallet. As he was leaving, his brothers had some friends over.

They were daring one of his brothers to drink water from the fish tank. They took the fish out but were hesitating. Leo watched the water moving around and got thirsty again. He grabbed the tank from them. "Hey!" Raph protested. Leo chugged the water in under 5 minutes.

Their friends cheered him on and congratulated him when he finished. That freaked his brothers out. They pulled him to the side to check on him. "You okay bro, you've never done a dare before. You'd never drink from the fish tank neither." Leo wasn't listening to them. "I'm fine just thirsty is all."

He was heading out. His brothers called out to him. "Don't forget we're having lunch with dad in a couple of hours!" Leo kept walking not paying attention to them. After a bit of walking, he found the river and made himself comfortable. He was laying on his side so he could cool off and drink water at the same time.

A couple of hours later, his cell phone began ringing. He noticed he dropped it when he got there. He struggled to get up. When he finally got up to answer. It was his dad. "Hello? Hi, dad! Is it lunch time already? Sorry, I'll be there in 15 minutes." With that he hung up.

He ran for his life and made it to the restaurant. When he ran in, he saw his family there waiting for him. He ran to them, knocking over some chairs in the process. His brothers were laughing at him. It's rare to see Leo get in trouble. They enjoy watching him get into trouble to the fullest.

"I'm so sorry dad. Lost track of time and." His dad held out his paw to silence him. He's going to have to mow the lawn as punishment for being late. With that everyone ordered their food when the waitress went to them.

It took Leo a minute longer to order. "Can I get a bowl of fruit and a pitcher of water? I'm dehydrated." That concerned his brothers. That's the second time Leo mentioned being thirsty. They just noticed he's sweating like crazy.

"You okay Leo? You look worse than Raph at summertime. Normally your freezing your shell off." Donny asked but Leo wasn't paying attention. He was just fanning himself with his napkin. Their father began growing concerned as well.

Their food arrived. Everyone ate their food in silence. Leo wasn't eating his fruit. He's sucking all the juice out to try to hydrate himself. Watermelon proved to work best. Mikey stole a piece of fruit, only to have it be suck dry. "Leo? I think your fruit is going bad dude. This looks like a prune." Leo was too busy sucking out the juice. Steam was coming out of the fruit. That freaked everyone out.

When lunch finished. Leo had chugged his 5th pitcher of water. They headed home. His family were concerned about his health. When they made it home, Leo plopped on the couch and fell asleep. Donny was getting a thermometer out to check his temperature when his dad came in.

"Donatello, have any of you heard from April? Her dad is looking for her." They didn't know where she could be. They tried to wake Leo up, but he isn't responding. "C'mon Leo. Get up. April is missing in action." They noticed he was really overheated.

"We need to cool him down. He's sweating like crazy." They left him on the couch to get a cold bath ready for him. Leo finally woke up. He overheard his dad talking to April's dad. Letting him know if they hear from April they'll contact him.

Leo got up groggily. He headed to the aquarium to see if April is still there. When his brothers came to get him, to their horror he was gone with the door ajar. They went to search for him with the family car. After some time of driving, they found him going into the aquarium.

They jumped out the car after him. "Leo! Leo!" Leo remembered April saying something about a freezer. He checked each one till he found the one with April inside. At the same time, his family found him. "Leo! Don't do that! You're sick and!" They gasped in horror when they saw April.

Their dad went to check her. To his surprise she's not freezing or has frostbite. Leo collapsed but Raph caught him in time. "What the shell is going on here?" Sometime later, they were at April's house. They called her dad and he rushed over. Leo and April were now resting in bathtubs.

Leo in the guest bath. April in her own bath. The families decided to wait till the morning to see if they get better. If not they'll head to the hospital. One way or another, they need to figure out what's going on with them. When morning came, their eclipse spell broke but their families saw them with tails instead of legs. What will happen next?
