It's a new semester at school. It's the mermaids' senior year of high school. Everyone's excited. "It's Raph's junior year, Donny's sophomore year, and Mikey's a sophomore too?" Venus is trying to understand Leo's family's school year. He laughed. "Raph is a junior. Donny should be a sophomore but his intellect is so high that he's going to graduate with us and begin college. Even with that he's taking both high school and college courses at the same time. Yes, Mikey's a sophomore too. He and Donny are actually twins if you believe it or not. Fraternal twins to be exact."

She is in awe. "Wow. I would've never known. That makes way more sense." Their family topic was interrupted with Angel running down the hallway exuberantly. "Guys! I got great news! I signed up for the swim team and they were more than happy to have me back!" she was giggling uncontrollably. "Is it me or is her smile creepy right now?" Leo shrugged his shoulders. "This is the happiest I've seen her in a long time. Let her be." "That reminds me, how did April do with her summer job?" Leo smiled. "She's doing great. If everything works out, she'll be an intern at the end of the school year."

"That's great news. What about you?" Have you thought of what you want to do?" he stopped to think. "I'm not sure. I wouldn't mind being a teacher or a caretaker. I love to help people, but I'm not sure at the moment." Venus blushed. "Honestly, I'm not sure neither. There's always my dad's place but that gets boring." He held her hand. "I'm sure we'll figure it out." She kissed him. "I hope so." The bell rang. They began their first class for the day. Angel made kissy faces at Gerry and Cecelia. They've been smooching nonstop since summer.

After school, the mermaids all went on a quadruple date with their partners. They were eating at a pizza place. "I'm so glad you learned our secret Cecelia. I felt bad leaving you out all the time." Gerry's girlfriend smiled sheepishly. "It was an accident. It was strange but the way he saved me was romantic." Mars scoffed. "Sure, if you count almost being eaten by sharks then getting trapped in a manhole as being romantic." Venus glared at him. "Hush, Mars. Tell me one romantic thing you and Angel have done huh." He pouted. "We've had romantic times together." They laughed.

"Raph, Mona!" Casey spotted his best friend. "Hey Case." They fist bumped. "What are you doing with these dorks?" everyone glared at him. "It's a quadruple date man, and they're not dorks. I mean, not all the time." He and Raph became paralyzed by Venus. "Sorry but I felt it was the right thing to do." Mona and April were fine with it. "Where's Donny and Mikey?" Mona waved her hand. "Mikey is on a date with Rennet Tilley. Donny is studying at the library, but I think he likes the student who volunteers there." Everyone grew curious. "Who? Who? I'm dying to know."

"I believe it's Irma Langenstien ." Everyone just blinked. "You mean the klutzy nerdy girl with the pink glasses. I thought I'd be more surprised but I can see that." Everyone murmured among each other. After dinner, the mermaids bid their sweethearts goodnight before going for a swim. "Where shall we go tonight?" "How about another trip to Poseidon's treasure? I would love to see it again and maybe thank it. For you know, making our lives more awesome." Angel suggested. Everyone agreed happily. "Poseidon's treasure it is. I'm just glad the others don't have to babysit us anymore." She complained. "That's because our powers have grown and we can handle things better compared to before. Besides, April had a fit and almost killed everyone." "Shut up Gerry." She blushed embarrassed. Laughing, they made their journey to see Poseidon's treasure. It glowed more brilliant than they remembered.

"I'm so stoked for this cruise!" Mikey exclaimed with his arms over his girlfriend Rennet. She's wearing a navy-blue dress and a sun hat. She flipped her blonde hair to get it away from her eyes. "Me too Mikey!" Irma had a Hawaiian green printed dress. Sun block was covering her nose. "I can't wait to see the mermaids. I haven't seen them since winter break. I was freaked out when I saw their translucent forms but they can show someone a great time." "I hear you Irma." Rennet chimed. "I'm just glad you guys didn't freak out when you saw my wings."

"None of us will ever forget that day; who would've known that fairies are real and are normal sized people." She smirked. "It was thanks to Angel and Mars. They wouldn't lighten up. I lost my temper and boom. I shrunk their fishy tails. They practically cried for me to return them back to normal." Raph snorted. "Define normal. Apparently that doesn't exist in our circle of friends and families. Where are they anyway?" Donny checked his wrist watch. "Casey is supposed to pick April up at the airport. She was in the Himalayas for studies. Leo and Venus are swimming in from Australia. Who knew after high school those two would find an interest in photography and being a counselor."

They heard honking and saw April and Casey parking in the parking lot. "Guys." they greeted them. "You look great April. It's been what, five months since we've seen you." She shifted her suitcase to show she's wearing jean shorts with a yellow tank top. "You're ready to have fun in the sun; bet you couldn't do much in the snow huh?" Casey groaned. "Don't get her started. She's like the snow mermaid queen in winter climate. She doesn't stop talking about how great the snow feels in my mermaid form and how she's unstoppable and met the abominable snowman." She jabbed his side with her elbow.

Rennet squealed. "I love the abominable snowmen. They can throw great parties." Everyone is dumbfounded. Casey rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "So, you weren't making it up." She huffed. "Leo! Venus!" she ran to hug them. "I so glad to see you guys; how was Australia?" "It was good. Venus got pictures of the outback and we had a nice trip." "Now you're on another trip. How are you even a counselor?" Raph approached them. "It's great to see you too Raph, and I am an online counselor, so I work on these trips too you know. Congratulations on getting the garage. I'm sure you and Casey will do great."

He smiled. "Wait for us!" they heard Angel shout. They were happy to see her but wasn't sure what to think of her hair. Gerry and Cecelia were walking behind her and Mars. He motioned for them not to ask but April has to. "Whoa Angel, what happened to your hair? It's corn braided and is that a tattoo?" "You like it? With swim season taking a break, we went to the Bahamas to do some R&R." "In other words, more swimming." Irma pointed out. Everyone laughed. Soon, the mermaids parents arrived to spend time with their children and friends. Sometime later, the mermaids were chilling in the pool catching up.

"You swim professionally, and Mars just tags along." She smiled. "He's my biggest fan. Plus, he sells the merchandise online. His tie dye shirts are to die for. When we're not swimming, we are activists for sea life creatures." "In other words, you guys cause trouble with people and sabotage the bad guys am I right?" she sipped her drink. "Right on the nail. You guys know us so well." They rolled their eyes. "How's New York been Gerry?" "It's been great. Cecelia sold her book a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to be in an Opera in the fall. We are doing Madame butterfly." Their eyes lit up. "Really? We gotta see that. Why didn't you tell us about her book?

If we would've known, we would've bought them right away." he looked sheepish. "Well, if you open the gifts we wrapped for you, you'll get them and tickets to my first show." They hugged him and congratulated him. Later that night, during the firework show, the mermaids ran to each other to tell the great news. "We're getting married!" they yelled in perfect unison. They were shocked. "No way! All of us getting engaged at the same time." They chortled. Oh boy.
