"Fancy meeting you here."

"Shut up." Said, my younger brother, Kenny.

I had just left him to take the bus instead of going with me in my car that I drive.

"It's your fault. You weren't ready yet." I said as we enter the school. "Well, I'm sorry that you couldn't be nice and wait for me to finish my breakfast." He said.

"Anyway, how're things with Rick? The guy who literally bullied me everytime and stole my lunch that you are now dating?" He asked with such sarcasm.

"We fucked last night." I said. "You what?!" He almost shouted. "Shh! Be quiet! My god!" "You are sleeping with the boy who was your enemy?!"

"I said, keep it down! I told you we're still not very open about our relationship." I said. "The team doesn't know either so you better not be telling them!

"I would have told the team but I kept forgetting somehow. And of course no one knows about you two. You're literally dating and keeping with your used-to-be enemy!" He whisper-shouted.

"We'll be open about it soon, and fuck the people who aren't gonna accept it." I said, taking some books out from my locker. Somehow, my locker and Kenny's were next to each other's.

I look across the hall and saw Rick. He saw me. He waved at me and I waved back.

"You guys disgust me. I'm not going to forget about him bullying me. Along with the rest of the varsity team!" Said Kenny.

"Kenny, Kenny..." I said and gave him 10 bucks. "Just shut up." I said.

"Okay. I'll see you at lunch." He said, lowering his tone and rushed to class.

I was walking down the hall to get to my class and so was Rick so we were pretty much walking together but we tried to not make it look obvious.

"How was last night?" He said to me with a smirk, not making eyes contact. "I wish to do it again." I said. "Thinking about telling your friends about us? I'll tell mine about us too." He said.

"Maybe after your hockey practice since our practice is right after yours. I'll be there, I have a free period. My brother already knows by the way." I said. "He does? How'd he take it?" He asked.

"Still kinda hates you but he's kept his mouth shut." I said "Good then. Alright, I'll see you." He said. Right before he ran off, he turned around, now walking backwards and mouthing 'I love you' to me.

I blow him a kiss as he catches it. Then he ran off with his team.

I used to play hockey and I did play in team USA but then I injured myself very badly but I was still given the scholarship. My doctor said that I still need a bit more time to get better and I still need to do some treatment. I did miss playing but I knew I needed to follow the treatment.

I was waiting for Varsity to finish their practice and their cue was when JV entered the stadium.

"What are you doing here?" Said Kenny, behind him was the team.

"A 'hey' would've been nice." I said. "I've actually got something to announce." "To us?" Fulton asked.

"Yeah, and the varsity team."

Then, varsity came along and I met up with Rick.

"Oh, everyone's here. Okay... You can start, Y/n." He said, nervously. Each of our teams looked confused.

"There is no hard way of saying this but it is a hard way of accepting it..." I started.

"Rick and I, are together. We are in an serious, official relationship." I said, calmly. Then Rick decides to make it a bit more awkward.

He hugs me from the side, "We're in love!" He almost shouted.

Jaws drop, eyes were widened, everyone looked shocked but Kenny.

"Got over Mindy real fast, huh Rick?" Said Luis then Julie nudges him.

"I know what you think, two rivals, dating each other. It could end either way. Bad or good." I said. "Just so you know, I've got to know Rick and he got to know me and we ended up going on dates and we've been in a secret relationship for quite some time now." I said.

"I think it's been almost 3 months, if I'm not wrong." Said Rick.

Then, Charlie broke the silence.

"W- well, it's alright with me. I mean, Scooter and Julie are dating-" He immediately shut his mouth.

"What?" Me and Rick said together. We look at Scooter and Julie.

Scooter sighs, "We've only started dating 4 weeks ago." He admitted.

Then, I look at Julie. "Yes, were dating. And this shows I'm not telling Charlie anything ever again." She said, nudging Charlie. "Well, I guess this war of Seniors vs Freshmen ends right now." Then I look at my watch.

"At 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, 1996." I said.

"Ducks! What's taking you so long? Let's go!" Said Coach Orion.

"Alright, varsity go. Thanks for staying." I said. Rick kissed me on the cheek then left with his team.

"I knew about them, by the way guys." Said Kenny. "Last night, they did-"

"Ken! I'll drive you to school for a month!" I said before he finished his scentence.

"Deal. I knew before you guys did. Still hate that guy though." He said then skates off to the ice.

I shook my head and left.
