"Why this late at night, Goldberg?"

"Because my mom comes home early in the morning tomorrow and she told me to get ingredients before she comes home and if I don't have them by the time she's home, I'm a dead man." I said.

"Why do you have to take the 3 of us?" Said Charlie. "Because it's scary at night here. I'll buy you guys something, okay?"

Guy, Fulton and Charlie smiled and immediately spread out to take what they want.

I took ingredients that my mom asked for. While I was looking for an ingredient, I bumped into someone, making them drop their purse.

"Oh I'm sorry, let me get that for you." I said, taking her purse from the floor. "Oh no, it's alright." She said.

I look back up to give the purse back and I saw a very gorgeous woman in a purple sparkly dress.

"Here..." I said, handing her the purse. "Thank you." She said, grinning.

"You're probably wondering why I'm in a corner store with a nice dress on. I just came from a party and I forgot to buy some stuff." She said. "Oh, that makes more sense." I said.

"Yeah, it happens a lot. Me, forgetting things and remembering them while I'm at a party." She said.

"Same here. I forgot to buy ingredients and I'm doing so in the last minute." I said. "Ahh..." Then, Guy came to me with his hands full of snacks.

"Here's my stuff. Charlie and Fulton are still getting theirs." He said. "Still getting theirs?" I said. "Yeah." Then he looks at the girl I'm talking to.

"Who's this Goldie?" He asked with a smirk. "Shut up and leave." I whisper to him. He looked at me then back at her.

"Sorry to disturb your conversation." He said then left.

"Sorry, that was my friend. I told him to accompany me here since it's pretty creepy out there." I said. "Oh, I totally agree. It's real scary." She said as we chuckle.

"Do you live nearby? Maybe I could walk you home?" I offered.

"Oh I'm fine, I've got company. He's right outside." She said. I looked over outside and saw the senior, Rick Riley.

"Riley?" I said under my breath but she heard me. "You know Rick?" She asked. "W- well, yeah. He's a senior at my school."

"He's my brother. You go to Eden Hall?" "Yeah, you too?" "Yeah! How come I've never seen you before?"

"Maybe we weren't supposed to bump into each other yet." I said, making her giggle.

"Well, I should continue finding ingredients." I said. "Yeah, you do that. Thanks for offering me a walk home though, that was very nice of you." She said.

"No problem. I'll see ya at school." He said. "I'll see ya. I'm Y/n, by the way." She said, on her way to the register.

"Goldberg." I replied and we parted.

The guys came back with hands full of snacks.

"Who did you have there, Goldie?" Said Charlie. "She looked pretty."

"Just someone from Eden Hall. Rick's sister." I said. "It's nothing. You guys done?"

"Oooo, Goldie's got a girlfriend..." Charlie teased. "I'm not buying your snacks if you keep going." I said, walking away from them to the register.

"We're kidding, Goldberg! Please pay for our snacks!" Said Fulton from afar.

Quite proud of this, ngl. It ain't too bad.

Anyway, I have an exam soon. I am going to cry.
