"You're a really funny guy, Russ."

"Thank you but, I already knew." He said making me giggle again. "Oh, no one's ever made me laugh so hard in a long time!" I said.

"A long time? You don't laugh hard often?" He asks. "No, not really actually. No one is that funny. And don't get me wrong, I love laughing. I love feeling happy and joyful and you know, a happy memory like this one right now will always be remembered." I said.

"Well, I'm lucky to be your funny guy." He said. "Thanks for that. It was only one person in my life that made me laugh a lot but I lost him." I said.

"Oh, what happened?" He asks. "If you don't mind talking about it. But if you do, you don't have to-" "No, I'll talk about it. It may hurt me a lot but you know, how are people going to ever know what you're going through if you don't say it?" I said.

"The person that made me the happiest person was my brother. We had a hard time at home with our parents divorced and we both lived away from each other but we always called each other and whenever we had the chance to meet each other, we tried to make a lot of good memories." I said.

I start to tear up and I quickly wiped the tears away. "Sorry, I'm crying." I said with a small chuckle. "No, it's alright. It's always fine to cry." He said.

"He passed away a couple years back and now it's only me and my mother at home at it feels so lonely. My mom and dad were always busy and I didn't have much friends at the time besides my brothers friends who were the only people there at his funeral besides my parents, me and my grandmother. Whenever he's at my mom's house, he'd have his friends come over but he always made me hang out too because he knew I was a quiet kid and I was too shy to make friends." I said.

"And, that was when I was 12 and he was 17. All of his friends are in college now and I miss them and my brother a lot. I don't have much friends now either."

Russ then patted my back. "Sorry, I just made our funny conversation really sad." "No, it's alright. I think we needed to be quiet. We were laughing way too loud." He said making me chuckle.

"And, you know, I can be your friend. My friend can be your friends! They're all nice people and you know, I'm funny." He said. "Yeah, maybe you could introduce me to your hockey friends..." I said.

I sighed and leaned on him as he put an arm around me. "Thanks for making me laugh again, Russ." I said.

"It was my pleasure." He replied.
