• COACH'S POV •
"Coach!"
"Come in!" I said, as I heard someone from outside of my office.
They open the door, violently. I look staright up from my paper on the desk and saw Dwayne all bruised with cuts on his face.
"Dwayne! What the hell happened?" I said, running up to him. As we fell down to the floor. "Dean." He mumbled.
"What?" I asked. "Dean. He's gone mad." He said. "Why? Why did he do this? You're his buddy!"
"Y/n." He said. "Y/n? How- wha- where is he now?" I asked.
"Don't help him." I heard someone say. I saw Dean standing at the door.
"Portman! What the hell do you think you're doing? Beating your friend up? I could get you out of the game." I said.
"It's all his fault." He said. "I never did anything! They ended it with me!" Said Dwayne.
"You liar." He said and was about to kick him but I stopped him.
"You did this?" I asked. "With a mighty pain and a mighty anger and fury!"
"Y/n could've been here. I mean, they'd be playing hockey with us, happily. We could be hanging out everyday and probably even win!" He said as his voice slightly cracked.
"But they're gone! And it's all because of this bastard!" He said. "Calm down. First, I don't want you using that language near me or even in my office." I said.
"You have to get over it, Dean. There's nothing you can do about it anymore. Why the hell are you beating Dwayne up? He didn't do anything." "It was because of him they're gone!" He said.
"He killed them. My first love." He sobs.
"He broke their heart making them miserable and making everyone side with him!" "I told you I didn't!" Dwayne said.
"And now they couldn't find a reason to live anymore when there are so many! But now they're fucking dead!" He shouted.
"They wanted to end things with me! You didn't think I was sad too?" Dwayne yelled.
"Cut it out you two! This is very inappropriate! Dean, no matter what, there is no need to beat up you friend. Dwayne, I'll find a nurse to clean you up." I said.
As Dean was about to leave, I called him in.
"Dean, you stay. We need to have a talk. Dwayne, can you walk?" I asked. "Yeah, I can get to my room. No problem." He said.
"Good, wash your face. I'll put you on the bench tomorrow." I said. He nodded and left.
Dean stand in front of my desk, in front of me.
"You tell me what happened or you sit on the bench too." I said.
He sighed, "Y/n was everything to me, Coach. You know that." He said. "Then things were over between us and then she moved and right when I met Dwayne, I saw her again. But I couldn't do anything, she was in love with Dwayne."
"And I just..." He then punches the table. "Dean, dean. It's alright. Sit down." I said.
"Dean, you are just confused." I said. "You wish you knew why they did it and you're mad at them for doing it and you miss them and you blame yourself for it too." I said.
"But you don't have to. They'd want you to be happy and not hanging on to you all your life." I said.
He looked back up from the floor with tears flooding his eyes and his nose red.
"What do I do now?" He mumbles.
"Play for Y/n. Make 'em proud." I said.

Used they/them pronouns for this. It's quite dark but I liked making it miserable. It's also cringe cuz TMD isn't this dark.
The story is inspired by the video above. Yes, it's peaky blinders. I am still waiting for szn 6, impatiently. I'm gonna cry, it's taking too long.
Anyways, sorry for the madness and darkness of the story.
I've written better, I'll make a better one maybe, I tried to hard trying to make this one be exactly like the video.
