• DEAN'S POV •
"Well, hello there..."

She just rolled her eyes at me. "Hey, I'm just tryna make some friends." I said. "You were just knocking people down. Are you sure you heard yourself right?"

"That was an accident." I said. "Whatever." She said then skates off to the middle of the rink.

"This is Y/n Ocean. She's won 3 state champions and was a former basketball player too. Fastest girl I've ever seen." Says Tibbles.

She showed off her skills and it was wonderful, I had to clap for her.

"Nice to meet you, coach." She said to our new coach. "It's a pleasure. How about we do a little scrimmaging before we get to know each other a bit more?" Said coach.

Us newbies became one team and we played against the ducks.

Robertson was the one in the face-off, I was on the right wing, Wu was on the left, Gaffney was the goalie and Ocean was the defenseman.

After a few shots, our 'team' ended up winning but I got a little aggressive so that started something.

A whistle blew and it was coach.

"Cut it out!" He said and started to give us a whole lecture on teamwork that was probably the best one I've heard from any coach I've met.

After a few fun times and stuff about teamwork, we finished up.

I wanted to talk to that Ocean girl. I like her last name. Ocean.

I was sitting around, talking to some of my new teammates, waiting for Ocean. Then she came out in a classy outfit.

Knitted beige vest over a white shirt that's tucked in some classy brown trousers and she had her blazer over her shoulder.

"Hi. Y/n Ocean. Nice to meet you all." She said, shaking hands with Conway. "Hi... Uh, I'm Charlie Conway. This is..." And he started rattling out all the names who were in the team.

"Good to meet you all." She said with a kind smile.

"Hey..." I said, standing in front of her way. "I'm Dean Portman. Nice to meet you." I said, taking my hand out for her to shake. She shook it while giving me a slightly intimidating look.

"I like you're surname. Ocean. Like Danny Ocean from Ocean's 11." I said. "You watch oldie classics?" She asked. "Hell, I love em'! If they were still being showed in theaters, I'd buy a ticket without a doubt!" I said.

"Nice! You're not so bad after all. Maybe lessen that flirtatious attitude and maybe, I'll give you a chance." She said with a grin, making me smirk.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow." She then leaves the rink with her duffle bag as I watch her leave the place.

I couldn't stop smiling. A classy girl is digs me...

I wanna dress classy and this story sucks. And I didn't know there was a 60s Oceans 11 until I saw it on TV and Frank Sinatra played Danny Ocean.
