Clementine steps into the room alone, her footsteps light as she quietly shuts the door behind her. She felt an odd sense of despair knowing that you weren't with her at this time, it was getting late and you still had yet to show back to the school.

You had gone off with Milo in hopes to get some propane from your RV. Clementine and Violet had proposed to go with you, but you had quickly declined, saying it would be too dangerous for more people to go than necessary. And yeah, she understood, Lilly and Abel were probably still roaming about, and to know you didn't want them in danger made her happier than she'd like to admit. You wereThe Wanderer, you could handle yourself, she knew that, but her mind wouldn't stop its swirling thoughts.

What if you had left? For good? She wouldn't put it past you, after all, she still wasn't sure what you gained from sticking around them in the first place, but the thought hurt her deep to her core for some reason.

Clementine snaps out of her thoughts, realizing her hand was still resting on AJ's head. She takes it off and smiles at his sleeping form, glad his fever was coming back down.

The sound of the door creaking open makes her head spin around so fast she swore she would have gotten whiplash. The smile that was about to overtake her face immediately stopped when she realized it wasn't you, the only person she was hoping to see right now. It was just Louis. He hands some clothes in his hands, making her look at him questioningly.

"Brought you these. I noticed his shirt got messed up, when... you know," he says walking in and over to the desk.

"Where did you get those?" she asks, trying her best to contain the scalding disappointment she felt. Her mind wouldn't stop thinking, worrying, no matter how hard she tried, no matter how hard she fought against it. She couldn't just stop thinking about you.

"They were Tenn's, back when he got here. Should be about AJ's size," he responds. There's a pause and then he glances over to AJ laying in bed. "How's he doing?"

"Better. His fever's gone down," Clementine says, not being able to hold a sigh. "Thank you for carrying him the rest of the way in."

"No problem." He crosses his arms and turns toward her. "So we've got a greenhouse again. And bombs."

"Y/n's still getting the propane but yeah, it was Mitch's idea."

"I figured." He walks over to her, "Violet says we'll start getting this place ready in the morning if Y/n comes back tonight."

"Good."

"They all seem okay with letting you guys stay," he says, causing her to look up at him. He looks slightly upset she can tell, he's like an open book when it comes to reading his expressions. He raises his hands, "For now, anyway. While we get ready to fight."

"Yeah, we appreciate it. All I've wanted was for them to forgive us," she admits.

"I said they're fine with you being here, at least 'til the raiders are gone," he snaps, making her eyes widen a little. "That doesn't mean they all like you guys again."

"Everyone else is okay with us staying. What about you?"

"It's fine, while he gets better." He glances at AJ.

"And after that?" She can't help but ask.

"I don't know, Clementine," he sighs out.

"Clem?" AJ says, making both of them look at him. Clementine kneels down to his level with a grin, "Hey, kiddo. How do you feel?"

"Better. Still hurts."

"I know."

"Where's Y/n? Milo?" he asks her, picking his gaze up from his hand on his wound when he realizes Milo isn't curled into his side like usual. Her eyes scan his face and she notices the worrying crease in his brows, probably much like hers.
