9 months Later

Amy had Turned 18 years old, her and Ty started Dating after she left Hospital, and this week she was Graduating.
Life over the last 12 months had been weird without her dad and Jack being around but Amy had told Lisa how nice it was not having to worry about doing something wrong or saying the wrong thing.
Lisa had also seen a difference in her and she had never tried to take advantage of her freedom, if only Jack would of trusted her.
Amy also became more confident in who she was as a person and not afraid to speak her mind.
Lou had come straight over with her Family and stayed in the family home as Tim was still locked up. She was looking forward to seeing her little Sister's Graduation, but she also had spoken to Lisa about the change in her sister and how grown up she was, almost like a different person. Ty had helped Amy to grow up and be confident,  as only being allowed on the Ranch had stunted her mental development all thanks to her Grandfather.

Amy's ear problem turned out to be a damaged Inner Ear and she was fitted with a hearing aid.
As for Jesse trying to cause as many problems for the Heartland Family's, Bank foreclose on Jacks loan so he could buy it fell flat. The RCMP never found anything they could use to arrest him even though Amy thought it was him, it wasn't enough as she had hit her head and her memory was  blotchy.

"Amy, I have something for you".
She walked into the kitchen to see Lisa with an envelope in her hand.
"This looks interesting Lisa".
"Well I think you may of forgotten about it, your Apartment is waiting for you. As for this house there's no loan for the bank to foreclose on, so no bills for you to worry about. You could put Dust sheets over everything and empty the fridge  and lock it up until Jack gets released.
Your Dad is due to come home in four weeks, and you have security and alarms everywhere in your Apartment".
"Oh, where are you going Lisa".
Well I'm going home because after what Jack did  I can't marry him Amy. I stayed for you, I couldn't see you taken away by child services".
"Ohhh Grandma thank you for doing that". Amy held Lisa in a hug.
"Your welcome,  and I'm not really your grandma".
"As far as I'm concerned you are the only Grandma I have".
"Thank you Amy, right shall we move your stuff into your place from here and your dad's place. Then we can close this place down".
"How long till he comes back Lisa".
Lisa noticed Amy never called him Grampa anymore.
"He still has another year and when your Dad's back, hopefully tea total, he can take over with the Cattle and I can get my men back".
"Let's get to it then".

Amy phoned Lou to see if she wanted to help. After four hours Amy was moved in and unfortunately she could see the Jealous looks from Lou.
By the end of the day the main Heartland Ranch was mothballed and all locked up. Even the windows were Shuttered up as well as the doors as if there were a storm coming.
"Amy, I'll see you in two day's for your Graduation".
"Thank you Lisa, for everything ".

Amy was showing Lou round her Apartment.
"I love your Apartment Amy and Four Bedrooms!!!!!!".
"I told Mum I wanted a big family eventually so she made sure I wouldn't need or want to move, I even have the Deeds for the Barn and Apartment".
"Typical Mum".
"Lou, why didn't you or mum and Dad tell me about Jacks Temper, I really have never seen him like that and I was so scared Lou".
"I'm sorry Amy, I don't know, he's been so quiet over the last Ten years I thought that maybe he'd changed. At least you've got another year without him, and your Boyfriend is sooo scrumptious".
"Hey your married Lou, ha ha ha".
"Do you know that's the first time I've actually seen you smile and Laugh".
"Yeah, I'm happy Lou".
"Have you thought about college or University".
"Yeah ,but I can't afford it Lou , Jack wouldn't let me do anything to earn money because if I did he couldn't keep an eye on me".
"Didn't you get left anything from mum's Life Insurance Amy".
"I have no Idea cause I was in Hospital Lou, Jack sold the Mare we rescued without Dad's permission and after I finally got out of the Hospital after Dad attacked me, Jack wouldn't let me set up the Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre on our own property, so I haven't earned anything,  I had to ask him for money and get questioned on what I want it for, he didn't like it when I said I needed things for my monthlys etc, but Lisa was thankfully on my side".
"Oh god, I'm so sorry Amy".
