Chapter 13

Tim came home three weeks later, he was a little subdued and immediately  apologised to Amy for his behaviour and for what he did to her , he held her and kissed both cheeks. Tim felt her hearing aid as he brought his hand down the side of her head.
"Is this because of Me or Jack love".
"Jack, he hit me so hard the Doctors said he damaged my middle ear".
"How did Graduation go love".
Amy grabbed her scroll and Letter to show him.
"Have a look Dad".
Tim Read everything,  her scores which were excellent and the Scholarship at the University of  Colorado
"Amy this is amazing,  well done love, are you going to accept it or go somewhere else".
"I'm going to accept it and go get some experience, oh I have to be there in 6 weeks to settle in for two weeks so can you look after Paint".
"I'll think about it love, if not I'm sure Lisa will".
"Er She finished with him, she was so angry,  she said she didn't even know who he was, but she may have paint for the next 12 months and when he gets out he can wonder where his horse is,  he sold enough of mine without my permission".
"He what, sold your Horses without asking".
"Yep".
"Dam him , he's got a nerve, did you get the money",  "Not a penny Dad, can't even get myself a Truck , it's like he was trying to keep me stuck on the Ranch, did Mom leave me any money Dad, don't worry if she didn't, it's just something Lou said because If she did where is it".
"Actually love, your Mum left you enough to get a new Truck for after you Graduated, it should be in an account at the bank, we'll go in the morning  and we'll look at the books and see how much he sold the horses for and get the money back for you".
"Okay Dad, thanks, how are you doing anyway".
"I got help and I'm fine love, I'm so sorry".
"Dad, you were still grieving,  I'm glad you got help though, and I do forgive you Dad.".

The following day Tim had found out that Jack sold 12 of the rescue Horses altogether and kept the money about $60,000.  he took copies of the sales and the account they were paid into.
Tim took Amy to the Bank and they explained everything and showed the transactions, Amy made sure the manager knew she wanted her cash put into her account where it was supposed to be not her Grandfather's.
"You realise that I will have to report this to the RCMP".
"I don't care what you have to do Sir, my Grandfather stole my Horses and sold them, but he put the money in his own account so I was stuck at the Ranch".
"Let's check the amounts match with the sales".
After a while the Bank Manager agreed that the horses sold matched the Deposits and after printing everything he transferred the money, he copied the Sale receipts which had Amy's name on and double checked everything.
"Thank you for your help sorting this out".
"Your welcome Amy".
They went to the Tellers so Tim could sort out where Amy's money was, eventually they found it, in Amy's old Savings account $60,000.  The Teller explained to Amy to have a personal account  and a Business account, while they were there Tim suggested to Amy to get it sorted now so when she goes to University it's already done.
"Amy transfer 20,000 from your business account to your personal account as you'll need money while your there".
"Okay Dad, so I'll have 80,000 less the cost of the Truck, I shall work while I'm there anyway for books and stuff so I can add to my balance".
"Your Daughter's got a good head on her shoulders  Mr Fleming ".
"Yep she sure has.

Later they were both in Maggie's having dinner, Soraya joined Amy and were talking about Ty. Amy actually felt comfortable talking to her dad about it and Tim said the same thing as Lou, "Your Body Amy, so you make that decision and I'm proud of you for not being pressured".
"Thanks Dad, I know I'm not ready so
that's their problem".
"I'm glad you felt you could talk to me about it Amy especially with your mum not being here".
"Well I've spoken to Lou and Lisa has been so helpful, she stayed here with me in Jacks Ranch House so I wouldn't be taken into care".
"I must thank her myself ".
There wasn't many in Maggie's but they kept there voices low and continued chatting about University and what Colorado was like.

Eventually they went home and called in at Fairfield Stables to see Lisa. Tim gave Lisa a gentle hug thanking her for taking care of his youngest Daughter. Amy asked Lisa if she had a horse she could use as she hadn't been riding for so long.
Lisa told Tim that she would bring Amy back Later so he didn't have to wait and mentioned that she'd like her employees back as soon as possible  as they'd been looking after  the Cattle.  Tim thanked her and as there were a lot of new Calf's born while he was away he'd compensate her.
Amy waved to her dad and went off for a trail ride.
