Awakened

Orion ran as hard as he had ever run in his life as he left his mother's place.  Obito Uchiha?!  Obito was his father?! Why? Why did he do that to someone he had called friend?  To someone who had mourned for him?  It wasn't like he didn't know she had mourned his loss!  He had approached her while she was at the grave after all!  He might have redeemed himself at the end of his life, but he left a lot of damage from his actions.

He was an Uchiha.  One of only three still living.  Sasuke Uchiha.  Sarada Uchiha... Orion Uchiha.  The emotions rolling through him were like a pendulum, swinging between rage, confusion, and yes... even grief.  He dropped to his knees as he reached the river that had always been his place of solace and buried his hands into his black hair.  He felt almost like screaming but managed to keep it tightly controlled within himself.  He burned inside as he thought about everything.

A strange sensation rolled over him before his eyes suddenly came into such a sharp focus, that he could see beyond what he should be able to see.  He looked around in shock as a new power coursed through his body, propelling him back up to his feet to look down at his reflection in the water.  He almost jumped as he saw his eyes, glowing red in the reflection staring back at him.  He stepped back, shaking his head for a moment not wanting to believe what he was looking at.

The Sharingan had been awakened in him.  He could feel things on a level he never had before, and it was soul shaking.  His mind even felt like it was processing faster as he stood there.  How had this not happened sooner?  He was almost thirty years old and yet it only awakened today?! He closed those eyes that were gleaming red in the reflection.  He was an Uchiha and only an Uchiha could answer the questions burning in his mind.

When he opened them again, he saw that his eyes were no longer glowing red.  He could think of only one person that he could talk to.  He left the water to hurry back into the heart of the village and into the winding streets.  A couple of his friends called out to him, but he kept going, unwilling to be deterred from his destination.

Obito had done what he had done for a reason.  Did he intend to impregnant his mother?  If so, what could possibly have been his motivation?  What could she have ever done to have caused his cold calculations to fall on her?  It could not be coincidence that the day before he unleashed the Nine Tailed Fox Spirit on the Leaf was the same night that he had taken his mother.  She had told him before that he had been conceived on that night.  She had been a virgin and they had come together only that one time before "Tobi" had disappeared to never be seen again.

As he reached the home he sought, he raised his hand and hesitated a moment before knocking on the wood.  A long-drawn-out moment stretched before the door opened.  Sakura Uchiha blinked as she looked at him, she tilted her head to the side.  Surprise crossed her features before she smiled, her green eyes narrowing with the action.  They had been in school together, only a few years apart.  He had been in another class, but their paths had crossed a number of times through the years.

"Orion!  I haven't seen you in a very long time!  What can I do for you?"

"Sakura... is your husband home?" he asked softly.

"Oh... yes he is but he's not in the best of moods."  She lowered her voice, "He's not one to entertain company."

Orion activated his eyes and the look that crossed her face he would never forget.  "I think he will talk with me, Sakura."

"Sasuke!" she called over her shoulder before looking at him. "Orion, you're an Uchiha?  How did no one know that?"

Orion flattened his mouth, "I just found out myself."

Sakura motioned him inside and he stepped through the door.  He could feel the immense power that was housed within Sasuke long before he came into the hallway where they were standing.  The other man went completely still as he looked at him.  The feeling of surprise rippled across him but nothing outward projected from the other man's face.
