Sarah felt rage sweep over her as she heard that voice. One of the spearheads to Kakashi's torment during the years following Rin's death. Somehow now knowing the truth of Rin's death made her behavior even more disgusting to her. Mai had been good to her word towards her as well, her parents having almost gotten her expelled from the Academy for her defense of Kakashi. Only her own parent's insistence and push back had kept her there long enough to graduate. She had also been the first to make sure that she was shunned by the vast majority of the village after getting pregnant at fifteen. She had almost lost her job at the bookstore because of that bitch. Now here they were, all these many years later. She thought she was safe, married to one of the more powerful men in Konohagakure.
Melissa knew that look all too well. Nothing good came of Sarah getting pissed. The few times she had witness it, she had cringed. She silently wished she had been a Shinobi like her, because they definitely could have used that fury during the war. She had to do something before she blew a fuse and caused some irreparable damage. While Mai was a bitch that needed a good smack down, she was powerful enough that she could cause any number of bad things to happen to Sarah as a result. Even possibly have her child taken from her. She knew Sarah was not thinking about any of those things. That was the downside to her anger, she lost all reason and common sense.
Mai might be able to do something to Sarah, but she couldn't do anything to her!
Melissa moved past Sarah, giving her a shove back and went right up to Mai. "I dare you to call my godchild a monster again you pathetic piece of shit. I don't give a fuck who your husband is, if you open your cock sucking mouth like that again, I will trash you into next year."
Mai's mouth moved up and down as she tried to speak in the face of someone she knew would follow through with her threat. She finally sneered, "You always were a stupid bitch, Melissa, but that one was the dumbest of them all. Imagine defending cold-blooded Kakashi after he slaughtered her best friend-"
Iruka made a sound of shock at the words. That was their Sixth Hokage she was speaking of, a title that even in retirement demanded respect. He had been stunned at how Melissa had come at her in the first place, but in a moment, he understood with full clarity why she did what she had done. He had heard the rumors, that while she had not been a Shinobi that she had a fierce power inside of her, but he had never seen anything in the years he had known her to indicate just how fierce a power she did possess until that afternoon. He felt droplets of water begin to race past him out of the ground, heard Melissa curse under her breath before turning and grabbing Phoenix out of the crossfire that erupted. Thankfully Mai's son was not with her at that moment, or he might have been caught in the explosion that happened.
"You don't have Kakashi here saving your ass this time, Mai," Sarah snarled as her hands began moving so fast, they were a blur.
Mai's lips curled up as her hands began moving almost as fast. This was a fight long overdue in Melissa's opinion, remembering all of the encounters through the years. She slapped Iruka on the arm as she passed him, motioning for him to follow her. Phoenix was squirming in her arms, trying to look back at her mother.
"Stop squirming brat," Melissa muttered but was silently pleased.
"I wanna see what Mama does Auntie Lissa," she whined.
Phoenix managed to wiggle into a position to see as both women yelled out at the same time,
"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!" "Fire Style: Fire Dragon Jutsu!" The two opposite elemental forces erupted with a ferociousness that sent wind exploding in both directions. Anyone that was even in the general area, all turned to watch the fight that had exploded. Thankfully not that many were around as most of the kids and their parents had already left, it was mainly just instructors and a few kids still lingering.
