Neo glared at her front door when someone started pounding on it again. If it was Orion again, she was going to brain him! She had just finished eating - her meal already cold after the scuffle she had with him - and she was annoyed that it hadn't been as good as it would have been had he left her the hell alone. Her lips still tingled from that kiss he had laid on her and it pissed her off that he had managed to render her temporarily turned on. The audacity of the man! If he wasn't her friend's son... She gave a little growl as she stomped over to the door, preparing herself for another skirmish then almost froze when she saw Melissa on the opposite side.
Her mind almost flipped over. Melissa rarely sought her out. While they had spent a lot of time together because of Sarah, they had not fully connected with each other as friends. She blinked before saying, "Melissa... I wasn't expecting you here."
Melissa smirked slightly, "Yeah, I feel sorry for whoever it was you thought I was. You looked ready to club me when that door opened."
Neo made a sound of annoyance, "You have that right. Just a pest that is going to get squashed if they don't leave me the hell alone."
Melissa laughed, "Only a man would bring out that kind of anger."
Neo stepped to the side and motioned her in, "What's up?"
Melissa rubbed the back of her neck, laughing softly. "You're not going to believe this. Honestly, if I hadn't seen it for myself I wouldn't have either." Neo's brows went up before she continued, "Our mutual friend is getting married tonight."
Neo's mouth dropped open, "WHAT?! When... How... WHO?!"
"Kakashi," Melissa smirked.
"Sarah's marrying Kakashi?! Tonight?! What the fuck... She just today went out my window, scaring the hell out of me by the way, trying to hide from him!"
Melissa laughed softly, "Yeah, I'm blown away too but let me tell you... Guy and I came up on the two of them about ten seconds away from fucking right out in the open for anyone that came along to see."
Neo's head was whirling, "Holy shit..."
"Yeah, that's what I thought." Melissa chuckled. "I thought they were just going to be banging each other but then Sarah got into it with Mai and everything spiraled from there."
Neo waved her to follow her into the kitchen and poured them both a glass of wine. "I want full details and I want them now."
Melissa took the offered drink then made a face, "I don't have a lot of time. I still have to find Orion and get myself cleaned up." She glanced at her watch, "I've got only an hour and half to do both."
"Then talk fast, I have to know everything!" Neo said before taking a drink of her wine.
Melissa left Neo ten minutes later with the promise that she would be at the temple at the appointed time. Neo's blown away expression was making Melissa laugh as she crossed the village, hoping to hell that Orion was home and not out and about. She reached his apartment and rapped sharply on the door. She almost made a groan of frustration when no sound approached the door and she thought he was out. She wanted nothing more than to get out of her filthy clothes and into something clean. She was about to turn away when the door finally opened.
Orion's hazel eyes widened upon seeing her and Melissa was struck with the impression that he had almost the same look on his face as Neo had when she had opened her door. His black hair was wet, indicating he had just taken a shower. His irritated expression shifted instantly, and a smile crossed his face.
"Auntie Lissa! You're home! What are you doing here instead of home decompressing?"
Melissa shifted on her feet and put her hands on her hips. She couldn't help but laugh as she thought about how he would take the words about to leave her lips. His brows went up, obviously confused as to why she was laughing.
