Orion was staring at the ceiling with his hands folded behind his head. There had been a lot of activity and he wasn't sure exactly what was going on. All he knew is that they had hauled Niko and his buddies out for about an hour then roughly tossed them back in their cells. Niko had screamed about being innocent and that the wrath of the Foundation would come down on them all if he and his friends weren't released immediately. He had smirked in his cell and laid down again to wait until he was yanked out.
Being in jail wasn't really that bad. The meal was... meh, but it was free, and he had a lot of time to really think about a lot of things. At least, he was trying in between Niko's crazy rants. His mind was going over the past and all the times he had encountered Neo. He was beginning to realize the reason why she irritated him all those times was because a part of him was attracted to her but her nature being so contrary to the women of the village made the attraction an annoyance. In turn, he then found her aggravating and had steered clear of her.
He rather liked that heat now... He had to admit that he was hooked completely. He was still mildly aroused as he thought about that kiss she had given him. She had been waiting a long time for someone to avenge her and it had obviously flipped a switch in her distaste for him. He smiled slightly then sighed. Damn, he might not be a Shinobi for too much longer. His mind switched away from Neo for a moment as he contemplated what he would do with his life if he was stripped of his role as Shinobi.
He wasn't sure. He had always wanted to be a Shinobi. The more he thought about it, the more he didn't know what he would do. The only thing he could think of doing was being a mercenary for hire but that would keep him away from the village for long stints of time. He didn't want to miss Phoenix growing up and... he wasn't about to up and leave Neo now that they were at an agreement. His luck he'd come back and she'd be married to someone else.
He almost sat up on the cot. Married to someone else? Where the hell did that thought come from? He wanted to fuck the hell out of her but marriage? He was so preoccupied by the shock of the thought that he didn't sense the other presence until he was outside his cell and the door swung open. He sat up and grimaced.
"Sensei," he said in greeting.
Sasuke gave him a narrowed eyed look and was silent for a long moment. Orion momentarily wondered if his Sensei wasn't about to kick his ass. "Come on, you're free to go."
Orion didn't hesitate to swing his legs over the side and join him outside the cell. As they passed by Niko's cell the other man lunged at the bars and tried to grab him. Orion smirked as he looked at him. "So excited to get another beat down are you?"
"I will get you for this, Orion, if it's the last thing I do!" he snarled. "And that bitch, she's got a world of hurt coming to her-"
Orion took a step towards him, to which Sasuke grabbed him by the back of his neck and yanked him back towards the exit. "Enough," Sasuke warned low but didn't say another word until they were outside. "You're behaving like a lovesick teenager. We're almost the same age, act like it."
Orion stiffened, "Sorry, Sensei."
Sasuke was silent as they walked down the darkened streets. He finally looked over at him, "I was told you summoned crows when fighting him... that was my brother's technique."
Orion managed to keep the grimace off his face, "I honestly didn't even realize I had done that until after."
"Crows have an affinity with the Uchiha... however, very few have ever been able to summon them. I have never done so... nor do I believe they would heed my call. You have strength in you like my brother... and your father." Sasuke abruptly stopped walking and turned towards him. "While I cannot fault you for what you did considering the circumstances, I must warn you to be careful about mixing your emotions with the power of the Sharingan. You can find yourself so caught up in them that you expend more Chakra than is safe."
