Kakashi stared at the ceiling in his bedroom for a long time. The book he had just finished was still in his left hand as he processed. He had started reading it when he left Naruto's office but had then made a detour to the bookstore and bought the first three books when he started to see what Naruto was talking about. All his mind could come up with in response to the books was "What. The. Fuck." There were things in there that someone who didn't know him wouldn't have been able to thread into the character. Naruto was right, that character was based completely after him.
He scowled as he stared at the ceiling and the scowl turned into a dark glare when he thought about how many people had read that. It made him feel like he was exposed to everyone, and it really pissed him off. He was going to wring whoever the author was' neck! How dare they use him for their own personal gain? He shifted his eyes to the window, scowling again as he realized he had spent the entire night reading those damn books.
He tossed the book across the room in his irritation then got out of the bed. He was going to go down to the publisher and raise some hell until he got the real name of the author. The hell they were going to get away with this! His face was flushed as he thought about the spicy scenes in the book. Those were hot, he had to admit that. It was possible that the author had a thing for him but he suspected it was more for personal gain than anything else. He scowled as he wrapped his leg after getting dressed, adjusted his mask on his face, and pulled his headband on. His eyes narrowed on the book that was laying on the floor after having bounced off the wall where he had thrown it. He grabbed it up, shoved it in his pack, then set out to the publishers.
Sarah's head was pounding bad as she walked down the street with Phoenix on the way to the Academy. Her fast chattering was not helping the hangover. How could she be so much different than she had been at that age? She was definitely an extrovert and did not know a stranger. She should have taken some headache medicine before leaving but... considering how much she drank, she almost felt like she deserved it. She winced inwardly as she remembered the conversation from the night before. Had she been sober, she never would have divulged as much as she had. Some things were just better left unsaid. She sighed inwardly, at least Sasuke had figured out why Obito had done what he had done. She almost wanted to roll her eyes again.
Damn it, Obito. You're an idiot! As if...
She was so caught up in her thoughts she almost collided with Kakashi as he rounded the corner of the block they were turning down. He was in a fast clip and had to grab her to keep from plowing her over. Phoenix was laughing hard as she looked between the two of them. His eyes widened as he looked at her, the patch of skin above his mask turning pink.
Sarah for her part was momentarily stunned as well, feeling her face flushing as those gray eyes of his was staring at her. "Sarah?"
She couldn't stop the smile that crossed her face. He actually recognized her this time. "Hi, Kakashi... long time no see-"
She let out an oof as he suddenly pulled her forward into a tight hug. That was not expected at all. She closed her eyes for a moment, his sandlewood cologne hitting her senses like a bomb. He pulled away after a moment then blinked when he heard a tiny giggle next to them.
"Mama, why is Lord Sixth hugging you?"
Sarah felt her face flush with color at the question, gave him a glance then forced a grin on her face as she looked down at her. "We are very old friends."
"Don't friends see each other?"
Sarah almost face palmed. Kakashi chuckled a little then knelt down to her level, his gray eyes narrowing in that smile that made her stomach do flip flops. He booped her nose before saying, "You look just like your mother did when we were kids."
